Rebooting Malawi's Railway Sub sector

As Malawi continues to implement its economic growth programs under the Malawi 2063 with key targets to increase the export of agricultural commodities and importation of cheaper strategic goods such as agricultural inputs and raw materials, rail stands as the principal opportunity that shouldn’t be left untapped. Given that the subsector has seen a downward slope since 1999, the Government started bold steps to resuscitate the sector in 2010. As this production highlights, the Railway services’ decline was a missed opportunity for Malawi.

Rail Way transport is very important it improves the economy of the country and also helps many lives of people in terms of transportation of their good's and services to various places and markets coz it's cheaper

Malawi needs to have freedom of movement of goods with Mozambique or joint inspection in Beira. A second inspection in Malawi is inefficient. Regardless kudos Malawi.🥰
