I as a born in JW and shunned by my parents until their death of old age. I was 22 when I left with my small children. 35 years later I am so HAPPY that the technology enables real education into all these groups claiming to be the only voice of God and having the ONLY way to God.
Technology also offers support and help that was so void 35 years ago to those who woke up and saw they were serving a false religion.
Glad you found your path and are in a happier place now
Thank you for sharing Violet, In my experience we make our own family. I hope you are well!

That's such a sad story. Entire lives are ruined by this organization. A righteous and true God would not want that.
@@A-RonHubbard That's something I never understood. If it weren't for the shunning and controlling structure, it would have a lot to offer. Entire families ruined, and for what?

Nice one 👍 I've just discovered that some MLM are using the same psychological hook on system as religion does, it blew my mind to see a friend losing their grasp to reality.. 😔
The similarities are astonishing between cults and mlm's
Omg!!! You are so right!!! It's because of my being in an MLM that I learned to question my beliefs. I saw it immediately. I believed the MLM blindly and I believed the JWs the same way. I am thrilled that I woke up!!! Left both and never looked back!
I always really enjoy your videos. I, too, grew up a JW, and ultimately decided for myself to abandon the cult (just like my 3 older siblings had done before me). I appreciate your perspective and your stories.

Just found your channel. I left 20+ years ago and really don’t have many of the feelings that recent “apostates” have anymore. My mom recently left after 47 years and I’ve kinda been searching for ways for herself to educate herself, and also not feel alone. I recommended your channel to her and she’s been watching and enjoying too. Keep up the work, brother Wally.. haha sorry man.. I couldn’t pass on the chance haha
Well done for adding your voice 🤗🌟 glad you got out!

Love your channel and I just subbed. JT and Lady Cee brought me here because they interviewed EXJW Diaries and they were talking about you and mentioned that they want you and him on their show for a good interview etc. so I was like..."I gotta check this Wally guy out and I found you." Glad I did as Lady Cee apparently knew who you are and was surprised and excited that he and you were friends so that got me excited . Then saw you on another live stream with Altwordly and a few others that I like. This is awesome as all these you tubers are on the same page appearing on each others channel talking networking sharing with serious talk and some fun talk. So I'm glad I'm here and I'm going to binge your channel of videos like I always do when I find new content. Love your stuff and your stories. A+++++ Much love and respect. Thumbs up and shared. : )

I remember one day when we were driving around and I asked you about hell and you said “oh, we don’t believe in hell, we just believe that when you die, if you weren’t saved, you just ‘go in the ground’”.
And I was like “wait, then who cares if you get saved or not?“
“ But don’t you want to spend all eternity in bliss with the chosen ones (or whatever)?”
“But... if I’m not like, suffering for all time in some terrible place, continually regretting my choice... like... if I’m just some non-thinking, non-feeling blob of nothing... then who cares? Because I certainly won’t.”
Then you paused for about five seconds, and said “huh. I... never thought about it like that.”
Basically I’m saying I should get some credit for saving you from Jehovah ha ha.

I was a regular pioneer and at the time we had a habit of reading the Bible cover to cover every year, so I did, several translations, several different languages. What could go wrong. Well, everything. Joshua 10: 13 "Joshua's long day" was the last straw. The more I read the Bible, the less I believed. Also, obey your mom and dad "so that you may live long". What is this part about long life, though. Well, then Deuteronomy 21: 18-21. You can get stoned and not in a nice way.

Concerning Tyre even Mickey says that the city wasn't overthrown. I never looked into it.
Tyre was occupied by Nebuchadnezzar, albeit not a thorough military victory. The city most likely sustained heavy losses and damage due to a thirteen year siege, reminiscent of ezekiel’s description. The bible even acknowledges this military endeavour as being largely fruitless in Ezekiel 29:18 as you touched upon. Tyre was sacked so IMO there are no contradiction but it’s impossible to know for sure as it was a long time ago aha
The only way to have meaningful predictions is they are specific. I like this story because it is a rare occasion that the bible is specific and it get it wrong in the details. If you tell your child that you will give them 100 dollars for their birthday so they can buy a new bike and you give them 75 dollars, in what universe can it be said that you kept your word? Sure maybe they were able to buy a different bike for 75 dollars, so in the end they still got a bike. But it is a simple fact that you lied and came up 25 bucks short. Does this make sense?
@@exjehovahswitness So because it was a military failure, that means no destruction came upon Tyre?
Having spent years on the siege, Nebuchadnezzar didn’t make any attempts with the might of his empire in bringing destruction to the city? I think this is false.
So all the effort that caused their heads to go “bald”and their shoulders “raw”, was caused by the soldiers sitting down too intensely outside the city? I think not. (Ezekiel 29:17-20)
Ezekiel 26:3,4 prophesied that many nations would wage war against tyre. “They” (not just Nebuchadnezzar) will “destroy” Tyre. This was fulfilled with Alexander the Great, was it not?
SO HAPPY TO HEAR YOU ESCAPED ... REMEMBER JESUS SAVES COMPLETELY !!! BLESS YOU !!!

Regarding the Babylon desolation passage in the Bible, it was written centuries when the city was yet desolated for centuries. There is no Bible scriptures dates from the fall of Babylon. I find it funny that people wake up trying to be Uber witnesses like WT suggests.
The prophecy of Nebuchadnezzar is interesting, the main theory is that in reality it’s only partially completed since Alexander the Great was the one to fully destroy Tyre.
I pray for those people who are now stuck in the grips of both JW and LDS(mormon) ... both of them engage in hateful shunning and have driven many suicides ... then the lawsuits in no less than 8 countries throughout the world for SEXUAL ABUSE of MINORS and then cover-ups for the elders who are perpetrators ... Prophecy of Babylon can be in some future time from that moment. Apostle Paul mentioned Christians in Babylon. I do not doubt in Bible but in the Organization.
Honestly, sure it might be. But if a specific prophecy has to be interpreted than it is not a specific prophesy. What does the bible say vs what happened? But yeah lots of people continue to tell me I am wrong but no one has demonstrated I am wrong on this one.

Great thoughts, it is a very difficult task to articulate this subject, I personally can't as I've mentally blocked out most of my childhood.
I'm sorry. I would be lying if I said there are not things that I have blocked out as well. We are all in this together.
The crazy people leave, because they don't know what 's going on, they feel confused about the Bible regarding the message. If they would understand it,. they may not go nowhere, enjoying the wholesome teaching. Thanks
I enjoy your videos, but I would respectfully like to point out that you apparently didn't read the complete comment about the destruction of Tyre in the insight book. As you can see, they say that Nebuchadnezzar's war against them was "not to be the complete end for Tyre", and that Alexander the Great finished the job. I would have to research what the history books say about the destruction by Alexander, but you really didn't present the entire picture of what the insight book said about Nebuchadnezzar's role.
From the insight book entry about Tyre: "According to the Jewish historian Josephus, the siege lasted 13 years (Against Apion, I, 156 [21]), and it cost the Babylonians a great deal. Secular history does not record exactly how thorough or effective Nebuchadnezzar’s efforts were. But the loss in lives and property to the Tyrians must have been great.-Eze 26:7-12.
When the Israelites returned from Babylonian exile, however, the Tyrians were able to assist in supplying cedar timbers from Lebanon for a second temple, and they resumed their trade with the rebuilt city of Jerusalem.-Ezr 3:7; Ne 13:16.
Tyre’s conflict with Nebuchadnezzar, though great, was not to be the complete end for Tyre. A later prophetic pronouncement indicated that, though Tyre would build a rampart and pile up silver and gold, Jehovah himself would destroy her completely.-Zec 9:3, 4.
Nearly 200 years after Zechariah’s prophecy was given, it was fulfilled. In 332 B.C.E. Alexander the Great marched his army across Asia Minor and, in his sweep southward, paused long enough to give his attention to Tyre. When the city refused to open its gates, Alexander in his rage had his army scrape up the ruins of the mainland city and throw it into the sea, thus building a causeway out to the island city, all of this in fulfillment of prophecy. (Eze 26:4, 12; DIAGRAM, Vol 2, p. 531) With his naval forces holding the Tyrian ships bottled up in their harbor, Alexander set about constructing the highest siege towers ever used in ancient wars. Finally, after seven months the 46-m-high (150 ft) walls were breached. In addition to the 8,000 military men killed in battle, 2,000 prominent leaders were killed as a reprisal, and 30,000 inhabitants were sold into slavery."
Wally, I'm sure you realize that it's 100% on you for evidently not actually reading the Bible and deeply researching it before you became a witness. Would you accept a job without getting the full description of what it entails? Especially over the past 30 years or so, the witnesses have strongly encouraged Bible reading, so there's really no excuse for anyone to waste many years of their lives in an organization who's foundation they disagree with.
Is Listen Obey and Be Blessed a new song? They lost me when the started changing words and melodies to the originals from the pink songbook. Haha I still want to save the 🐝 from being molested 🤣🤣🤣
@10:44. Again, no diss but what you said sounds like you are were someone who took orders regardless of validity. You were afraid of your faith being challenged... Huh? If you have the truth, in a fair argument, it will win any challenge. Your mind was colonized. Again, no diss.

I never knew you were married
Actually why dont you point out scriptures from the Bible like Matthew 3; & 2 Timothy 3:1 & Daniel 2:44 &pslam. 37:29. To let people agree& dusagree
The bible says Babylon WILL become piles of stones, which did happen (Jer 51:37). It doesn’t say that right after the occupation at the hands of Cyrus it would crumble. That would be incredibly non-sensical on Cyrus’ end to destroy such a valuable and well built city. However, by the 4th century CE Babylon was less than a whisper of its former glory. It had been ransacked repeatedly for its building materials and was uninhabited. Since then, generations have passed by and it has never been restored... this echoes Isaiah 13:20.
If prophecy is to be taken seriously than a few ground rules need to be in place. 1) you have to establish the words were written before the event happened. 2) It has to be specific in the Who, What, Where, How, and When department. 3)There has to be a control mechanism to ensure that no one is manipulating things to guarantee it comes true. If the Utah Jazz win a championship and I say "I told you they would," after the fact, I'm not a prophet. If I say the Utah Jazz are going to win a championship and it take them 50 years it doesn't make me an inspired prophet, it makes me a guy that likes to talk. If I say a NBA team is going to win a championship this year, I am not a prophet. Does this make sense?
@@exjehovahswitness I see where you’re coming from for sure.
The earliest scrolls we have are from after the event so the “when” cannot be verified. Faith, a word I’m sure you’ve heard many times, is the final jump in believing these prophecies.
You grew up believing that Jehovah parted the Red Sea, brought the ten plagues etc, yet you stumble on the fact that history books say so and so happened on 587 bc. I’ve had similar doubts but now I’m beginning to put my faith in bible chronology over man made history books.
A bit unrelated but I myself am an ex-jw so I understand many of your points. However, the further I go into the “world” the more I see the credulity of the bible.
I have harboured resentment over some of the errors of the human organisation for years, yet now I truly understand that they are imperfect as well. You seem like a nice dude and I hope you’re well and find peace with the bible, the JWs and Jehovah himself.

Just saying, Babylon won against Tyre diplomatically but not on the military front. Obviously it’s not an outright win per say but it’s enough to fulfill the prophecy in some regard. I do agree that JW isn’t the correct way to go so I’m excited to hear your story.
Did you take the time to read the prophecy? It specifically describes a military victory. So far as to say in EZ 25:14 that the city would never be rebuilt. But anyway thanks for watching and I will see you on Saturday.
@@exjehovahswitness Oh no, I read all of that and I agree. But think of it this way, diplomacy always outweighs military prowess. Technically if that wasn’t true we’d still be considered at war with Vietnam. Love the content bud excited to hear more.
@@godisgreat6854 I get what you're saying. I tend to look at things in a simple way. For instance, what does the bible say and what happened historically. Anything beyond that is more than I can handle! Haha. Thanks for the encouragement! Cheers.
@@exjehovahswitness I also tend to look at things in a simple way. I feel that the Bible wouldn't need over analyzing or apologetics if it were really the perfect word of an all wise god. But some people are understandably desperate to believe.

You funny, lol
JW' lost me on the very first issue they brought up. They told me that using God's name was important. Ok. (this was before the internet) So I went to a bible college and spent several hours researching God's name. The information I found then is still as true today as it was then. Jehovah is certainly NOT God's name and never was. It was a cobbling together of YHVH and adonai- the brainstorm of one guy. Prior to this guys idea the 'name' Jehovah did not exist. It was invented. I told my JW people about this and they claimed to already know that and told me "its a translation". Which is not true. 'Jehovah' was not taken from ANY existing language - which is what translation is. It was invented. The name "Jehovah" did not exist prior to the 1500's so how can it be a translation? A translation from what language?
I realized at that point that these JW's had no interest in speaking the truth or finding the truth and that they were willing to make false statements to support their viewpoint.
