I put mugwort in my chicken stock. I planted some when I first moved into my house and now it is covering my yard more than the grass, which is exactly what I wanted. I hate that so many people will tell you not to plant it in the ground due to its invasive nature because it is actually beneficial for every other plant AND animal near it. I love having a mugwort lawn 😄

I found some fresh mugwort and added it to my face mask. So intense! Very powerful herb! Never experienced anything like it. I’ve had a mugwort bath before at the Korean spa but it wasn’t nearly as concentrated as this. I feel like it’s very cleansing/ clearing. It has a very grounding energy. I had extremely intense dreams. Not positive but definitely cathartic. Very intense herb that is extremely healing. Whoa!
Did you say absinthe? Of course, as you said, moderation is KEY! It also brings to mind that many other common herbs like thyme and oregano are toxic in large quantities. Now I'm curious to see how they taste on my roasted potatoes. Thanks for the tip, kid❤️
Mugwort (artemisia vulgaris) isn't really that toxic tho. Its cousin, wormwood (artemisia absinthium), is the one used in absinthe and can become toxic with hallucinogenic properties in high doses. Poor mugwort got caught in the hate against wormwood.

It’s easy to do and it’s worth your time because the flavor you get is so different from brewing the leaves fresh! 😋 It’s also a great alternative to white sage for all the spiritual peeps out there especially if you’re not indigenous or were not taught by indigenous people; it has the same properties, has had the same historical usage in Asian and European cultures, and it’s way more common and accessible. You can bathe in it as well. Btw - don’t consume mugwort if you’re pregnant or are trying to. Research your herb properties very thoroughly!

There's a plant I'm trying to figure out we have a bunch of large oval like leaves sprouting all over we used to have a hollyhock flower by our garbage can but I don't think it's hollyhock leaves they seem to grow alternate leaves and they are really big.
Me: If these grow in the wild, maybe growing them on purpose will be easy!
