Wow Mani you didn't have to do this just for me. I just got virpils a couple days ago did a initial set up but in not happy with it. I'm mapping on paper first so this video is impeccable timing

thanks Im going to speed a lot of time in off line mode to test stuff works . as im trying to get the right flip trigger to change from guns to missiles and left flip trigger to change flight mods.
left slider was thinking of space brake but it looks like in puts it on so have to press it twice to turn it off ( almost like a space handbrake LOL )

Just got myself some rudder pedals after running plain dual stick for years, adapting my muscle memory is turning out to be an ordeal lol

Nice video! I use the secondary trigger on the VKB to toggle master modes (long press) and short press on the same direction on the secondary trigger to cycle modes. That same trigger outside is for quantum jump. Also, I would like to ask how do you make the free look work? It does nothing for me :(
Unbind your mouse pitch and yaw. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cool way to cycle through master modes
@@Astro_Mani Also, you can bind the "Automatic precission mode (disable)" key to the same as the "Flight / Systems ready" and you will have 1 more button free

you need a wall shelf and lets go we both have same mouse G502 Hero but your is clean lol i used isopropyl alcohol on my one and it oxides well feels like rust but but still works and i need a keyboard and mouse set up lol and i use mouse buttons for power management and power limiter off and speed boost

That's an in-depth tutorial. I do not have duel stick and play using an older X52 Hotas plus mouse/keyboard settings. I have in issue you be able to help me out with. I have all my ship weapons set to fire Primary/secondary via my hotas Joy/throttle. A problem I have is my left mouse button continues to default to ship weapons fire. This causes an issue in cockpit mode when attempting to access a menu with the mouse. When you left click on the menu the guns fire. Unbinding this in Mouse key binds and it just defaults right back in. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
well, I am sorry to say I do not have that issue, My mouse button is still bound to fire and mine never shoots while I'm clicking on the screen. Off the top of my head, I do not know why that keeps happening to you. If you unbind it, it should not reset to default without you telling it to or a patch resetting it. Sorry, there must be something small messing up there that you are not noticing. Fly safe out there, let me know if I can help
@@Astro_Mani Thanks for getting back to me. I have spent hrs scrolling through the new key binding to no avail. However I just spotted this comment from someone else in Spectrum:
"Mouse buttons are permanently assigned. Especially with the new interaction menu. You can't remove these bindings and if you have anything else on mouse button 2 it won't work. I've been using mouse button 2 to move forward since DOOM (1993), which no longer works when I'm carrying something.
The key assignment of all mouse buttons must be changeable in the options menu. No mouse button may be permanently assigned to an action and thus the key assignment menu may be bypassed."
Like the owner of that comment I am also an old "Doom" player and have always assigned move forward to my left mouse button through games like battlefield, Elite Dangerous and many more. In this patch the moment I grab a rifle.. my forward movement is reduced to slow walk. The permanent assigning of M1 & M2 explains my problem. I thought I had screwed something up. I didn't. CIG have. The new interaction modes are just borked IMHO. My next question is: how do you activate a menu in the HUD (using the mouse) e.g. Weapons/guns/missiles without your weapons firing?
@piwaka50 that's crazy the doom thing. Interesting. As far as the other thing. Your guns shouldn't fire as long as you are holding down F the interaction button
