- "The Vision of Divine Union: The Mystical Experience of Thomas à Kempis", a lecture by Manly P. Hall, was recorded in front of a live audience on March 15, 1959 in Los Angeles.
Kempis is best known for his work, "Imitation of Christ" , which was published around 1420 C.E. 600 years later, this Christian Mystic is still relevant today, as we still need to learn the lessons and ideals of which he wrote. Mr. Hall brings Kempis and the Mystical Experience into contemporary times and language, providing a practical approach to spiritual life.

I read about "The Imitation of Christ" in Jungs red book. I found a copy! A very tiny, leathbound, old as shit copy for not a huge price. It shipped to me out of South Africa and is one of the most tactile, wonderful things to hold. What a cool lecture to go along with my book prize. Thank you for posting!

The two words together "Divine union" makes sense to me . I the Bodhisattva Maitreya have a divine union with the Great Dao, or what many call 'God". It's a path I took I only because it was meant for me.. God lives and watches the world on a Old film projector in quietude & It's a blessing to watch. Min. 24 in Manly Hits the nail on the head. Manly is describing my grounds with God. The man was a Prophet. And Plotinus was a Great thinker. I love it when Manly sums it up with a "Time's Up" 💕 M.P.H
