IS300s are great cars (in my opinion) I’m biased though as I’m picking up my 4th one in a couple days. That being said, it’s really easy to poorly modify them, and if you can’t do it right then leave it stock. They don’t have a ton of room, a ton of power, and honestly there’s nothing that extravagant about them but they have some neat quirks that make them unique, and when done right can be cool as fuck.

I had one for a few months, it was clapped by the previous owner sadly, was ready to go all in but it was too far gone, threw it up on Facebook and had people falling over themselves to buy it, used that money to buy an LS430 and have never been happier with a car lol

The IS/Altezza with the different looking taillights has Altezza tail light covers they're an oem part so I assume it was a factory option
Yep, this was an option at the dealerships. There was several optional front and tail lights housings as well

What kind of 14 year old is searching for a car?
I grew up on a county line in the armpit of nowhere, Iowa. I was so far out in the boonies the sheriff patrolled once a month and the closest they were normally was the morning and afternoon patrol of the town ten miles away. So licenses and registration wasn't an issue.
So being an 11 year old who had gotten Gran Turismo 3 A:Spec with their PS2 for Christmas and developed a love a cars. I spent the money I got for my 12th birthday later that year on my older sisters 1986 Ford Escort GT when she was trying to get a down payment together for her first house.
Burnt a quart every 25 miles, and I had to either park it on a hill or disconnect the battery when I was done with it, but it let me get to my fishing holes, and my dad and I kept a "rally" track cleared and mowed out on our conservation plot. He kept me supplied with fuel, grabbing 5 gallons every payday for me. Rainy saturdays during football season were the best listening to the Hawkeye's on the radio, racing along the backstretch on the fence line, ripping through the path around all our tree plots, slinging rooster tails of mud as I slid around the uphill kink, managing speed and brakes so I didn't plow through the neighbors fence at the end of the long downhill, my mom looking out disapprovingly from the kitchen window.
It also got me to my occasional farm hand jobs as a kid, which let me buy two Jeep CJ's, a -5 and a -7, from some crazy guy's junkyard, when I was 14. Did not take delivery of the CJ-7, because when I went to pick it up, there was a rather large tree growing through the engine bay, but the CJ-5 was somebody's old moose and elk mountain hunting expedition vehicle with a lift, the fattest 33's I've ever seen, and a postal jeep top somebody literally salvaged from a crashed postal jeep that wound up in one of the local rivers.
I can only find about 2 2002 Lexus IS 300 car on car gurus in my area in Los Angeles, California.
1st one has 131,000 miles and the other one has about 180,000 miles.
They are both at least $13,000+ at two different dealerships?!
Any Idea why they are so expensive when more recent Lexus models with better features and less miles are cheaper?

These have to be the best deal in Civic Sis right now period, for a long time I thought the EP3 was rad until somebody told me the specs on the 8th gen. 40 more horsepower and a standard LSD, and they cost the same somehow.

I posted my factry steering wheel in the discord during the live stream. I intend to put it back on with a mod that pushes the steering wheel farther out from the hub. It's an expensive hunk of CNC'd aluminum, but it'll make that car driveable for my 2M tall fatass. Also, note the husky boy in the place of the I in the Husky Nation sticker.

@@Spurs228 gs400 suspensions aren’t as shot as is300 when buying used. If you want your is to handle well you’re going to have to fork out some money for a refresh kit. Probably will need a timing belt too and cam and crank seals. Plus for the mpg you get way better performance out of a 3uz than a 2jz ge which is ridiculous the amount of gas that engine uses up.

I had an is300 manual .it was a pretty cool car. Not real fast but super fun. The F80 M3 i drive now would destroy it
