It's all about the rider not the cc or the hp even though for equally skilled riders ofc it helps. In the spanish circuits all records have a 600cc at their top 5, including Montmelo. Nice video.
We rode with a guy that had an XR 500 with a street kit on it, who would smoke 1000 cc bikes at Deal's Gap. Would suck to spend that much on a bike and get passed on the inside by a guy riding a dirt bike with street tires LOL.

It was the two newer riders on the 1000's laughing at the guys dirt bike and a friend told them to get a good look at the back of it, it was all they were going to see of it. They didn't believe him, till he passed them.

There’s little doubt that the R7 is plenty fast for anyone wanting a “sport bike” for the street. I personally prefer the cbr650r - as an “old guy”😜 it’s a bit more comfortable riding position (and a bit faster top end but it’s doubtful that would come into play on either one😳). If you’re riding today there are lots of great choices to suit anyone’s needs and the R7 is certainly one of them.
Appreciate a mature outlook.

as someone that has owned litre bikes and 600cs "both 4 cyls" for a daily bike that I do thrash but is fast and comfortable on trips i wouldnt go under a 600cc 4cyl. or under 110HP
@@atom608 The hate the R7 recieves is because idiots believe this will "replace" the R6 (still under production btw, but only for racing and not street use). This bike is a supersport for the streets, a 74hp bike with lots of torque. WHY THE FUCK DOES EVERYONE SHIT ON IT BECAUSE IT MAKES LESS THAN 100HP??? Its so ridiculus that i`ll give you an example:
Zero hate for the new Kawa ZX4RR, everyone loves it, praized bike. Makes just 3HP more than the R7 while the R7 makes TWICE, YES, TWICE the torque (aprox). I raced mine against a ZX4RR and it destroyed it. The ZX couldent keep up and got obliterated at the corner exists (TWICE THE TORQUE, remember). Yet the R7 still recieves all te hate because its a twin and not an inline 4. But no hate towards the Italian supersport twins... because their italian, thats why.
So, hate towards the R7 is completly unjustified. People hating it are teen morons who believe that only 200HP bikes are respectable. Idiots.

True, engine is the same, weak as shit. Took me 2 weeks to get bored of the mt07 engine. I wanted more power outta the apex, even with the crap susp and fragile frame. Imagine r7 with more turning capability and the same power... kekw
