    I have a question for you for one of your Q&As: What do you recommend wearing to tech jobs? I am starting an apprenticeship at Microsoft and have no idea what to wear. I've been working remotely for two years so haven't had to worry about this. Three years ago I worked at a big tech company and could never seem to get the outfit right. I tend to wear dresses but co-workers would ask me why I was "all dressed up." You always have excellent style and I thought you might have some insight.

    • @StereotypeBreakers
      @StereotypeBreakers  Před 6 lety +6

      thank you so much!! To be honest at Google it was very open to whatever you'd like to wear: there were days when I'd wear baggy jeans with a t-shirt and sometimes when I was more dressed up, even wore heels. It really depends on the company and the country where you are - my colleagues in the office in Russia were much more dressed up all the time, while the people in the US were even more casual than us in London. I'd say that jeans and a nice top/jumper is a safe option while you're seeing how things are first, but my biggest advice is: be yourself!! Wear what makes you feel comfortable and happy :) if you want to dress up, do it! If you don't feel like wearing makeup, do it!

    • @StereotypeBreakers
      @StereotypeBreakers  Před 6 lety +1

      The only time when I'd worry about this stuff is if you have meetings with clients - some of them are more formal than the tech companies and will wear suits to meetings

      For UX/UI Designer: you should have a degree in design, even it's graphic design, communication design or media design.
      For Data Analyst: Data science or Finance, Business Analysis, Healthcare Management etc (basically business degree is highly recommended)
      For Digital Marketing: Marketing degree, BBA, MBA in marketing or Digital Marketing or maybe Multimedia Design.
      SEO: this one is a part of digital marketing so same as digital marketing..
      Product manager: BBA MBA in Product management or project management or IT Management or MIS (Management Information Systems).. business degree is necessary.
