This term originally was used to describe plants or animals non native to Europe. I have the same sentiment with people who use the term “jungle fever” or “yellow fever”.
To this day it offends people when a woman has a firm opinion or one at all...when she has a voice, a stance; when she knows what she will and won't put up with.
