Flashback - May 2nd, 2009 (UK, US & German-Charts)

This week's FLASHBACK Video brings us back 15 years, when the UK Charts were led by a Ghanaian-British rapper/singer with his aptly named first charttopper in his homecountry. Here he was assisted by a hip-hop trio from Camden Town. For them it was the only charttopper while the rapper had one more during his career so far. Meanwhile in the USA it was a hip-hop turned dance group with their first of 3 #1 songs in their homecountry. And in Germany a woman from Manhattan scored her first of 4 charttopper in the country. This one also topped the UK and the US Charts before.

Yes, but this was their only Top 5 hit in Germany. They had 2 more songs in the Top 100: "Hostage Of Love" peaked at #69 and "America" peaked at #38.
