Sounds like you had a bad one. The gearbox on this one is a Tiptronic rather than S Tronic and a lot more reliable. I've had very few faults and had many examples.

@@ForecourtFilms the auto repair kit was even fitted and after selecting reverse the fault came up in the dash again kind of knew it was going to happen days before that the gear box was making loud gear selecting noise s
you couldn't pay me to own a German car that's my 3rd and last Audi 1st car was Audi 2.2 Quattro 89 model loved to eat turbos then bought a4 s line electrical faults every where traded it for 2.0 TFSI S Line Plus Audi Q5 Quattro. before i buy any car now i look for faults audis are crap
i will just stick to Honda bullet proof
