I have seen the Panthers as the team to beat in the East since the middle of the season. They have scared me the most. Carolina looked manageable and beatable and the Rangers proved that. Now we will see if they can handle what I consider to be a tougher team.
Rangers match up better with florida. Its not about âwhoâs betterâ
Something I don't think Rempe gets credit for is drawing a lot of eyes and taking pressure off our top guys. A lot of the focus from opposing teams, coaches, the refs, and the fans goes to Rempe. It's one of the factors that make having him in the line up a bonus and it goes unnoticed. He's not just size and a guy who fights. He also makes his teammates play bigger and play in his shadow. It's another element to consider.
My friend from Boston mentioned that it wouldn't be the worst thing if Rempe fights Bennett either lmao
Exactly, so why is he scratched so often?
Agreed, the problem is its the playoffs, he's still a rookie, but most importantly and I do believe this is the real reason he's out for game 1 is that, the refs nickel and dime every hit he makes and are quick to call him on something, and at this stage of the playoffs with Carolina and now Florida, Lavi doesn't want to risk giving up too many additional PP's to these caliber teams. However, if Wennberg does provide anything soon offensively, maybe if Chytil shows Tonight that he is good to go...maybe scratch Wennberg, shift Chytil back to the C, bring Cuylle back to the 3rd, and put Rempke back in on the 4th.
It adds more firepower and toughness to the 3rd line, and it allows the best of Rempke, as you stated, bringing all that to the team, with the added bonus of doing it all at MSG where the fan base will feed off of it, thus having the team feed off of it too.
@@sportsfix6975 I agree. I don't want us to be over coached to make it easier to play against because we are trying to squeeze Chytil or Wheeler back in.
@@joshuagonzalez3249 Even if not Wennberg, Kakko. Because he has been iffy all damn playoffs. Honestly, anyone on that third line you can make a case for. But I really loved the Vesey, Goodrow, Rempe line. And even Rempe being short benched, and Vesey and Goodrow being everyman players that can move up, or you can double shift guys with them. I really liked it. It gave our guys more options to get ice.
I am almost 60 years old, my teams are the NYR, NYM, NYJ, NYK⊠I need the Cup this year. LGR. Rooting for these team my entire life, I have seen exactly two championships that I could remember.
Mets and Jets. Yikes.
Im.a fan of the same teams as you except the giants but I'm 39.i been a fan since 1990.my Dad is a huge mets and gaints fan he's 74 he's been a fan of the Mets since they came into the league in 62 and was a brooklyn dodgers fan before that but I was only 2 the last time the Mets won.i did get to see the giants win 3 superbowls back in was it 91 against the bills and twice against the patriots.
Iâm sorry for your losses
Ima Yankees giants fan so I see what u did there đđđđđđđ
LETS GO RANGERS
Get ready for War!!!
Mika said in his presser yesterday that Chytl missed 2 games because of food poisoning not concussion symptoms âŠâŠalso, Laviolette said in his post game presser after game 6 with Carolina that a few of the guys were dealing with the flu during that series. Iâm hoping thatâs was the reason for the game 5 disasterâŠ.
LETâS GO RANGERS!!!
I agree, stay away from retaliatory penalties, especially the top 2 lines.
I have been consistent in my prediction - Rangers in 6
You were close.
Go Rangers đŠ«đ€đđđđđ€đ°đ©đđȘđđșđžđ
I'll never forget being at the celebration downtown in the Canyon of Hero's in 1994....yes I'm that old... let's do it again.....
Rangers in 5. Lets go Rangers!
Panthers in 3
@@willjones8646 Panthers in 1! Series over baby!
COME ON RANGERS!!! đȘđŸđđâ€
I believe in this team let's go Rangers I already have tickets to round four game one I don't care who it's against that's how much I believe in this team that I bought the tickets already
They said the same thing about the Carolina power play, but the Rangers PK stood strong.
Rangers in 6
Let's go rangers baby
Series comes down to Chytil and Igor. If Igor is better than Bob and Chytil is back the Rangers speed and goaltending should be too much. If not, they get bullied in 6. I lean towards Rangers but itâs a coin flip.
Usually the first game is a little looser in a series with the two teams figuring each other out. I expect a 5-4 or 4-3 type of game tonight where the rest of the series will be lower scoring. If we score for we have a 99% chance to win with Igor.
Lets Go Rangers
Special teams, goaltending and DEPTH get it done in the playoffs. The Panthers learned that the hard way in the Finals last year. Vegas had three lines score against them in one game; then in the next game, all four lines scored. Depth is hard to counter when a team has only one or two lines rolling.
So did the Rangers
And the Panthers have the better depth. So whatâs your point?
@@pb1300 The Panthers have the better depth? Their depth has hardly improved since last year. More depth? They hardly managed to be by the worth Bruins team in ten years. Smh.
@@pb1300 The Panthers are headed for disappointment, just like last year.
@@automatoncollectives7237 they absolutely have the better depth. Youâd know that if you had a clue about them, which you donât by that âhardly improvedâ comment. They are deeper up front, and much better on the blueline. Donât comment if you donât have a clue about what youâre talking about.
Two things get lost in Bobs Save % this postseason.
As the game gets later, he gets better. Hes not allowing many goals in the 3rd.
Floridas defense has done a great job of blocking and limiting shots.
The overlooked aspect of Rempe refs call more penalties, both sides, when he is on the ice. Good for Rangers PP.
Big risk putting Chytl out there almost shows desperation. Rangers easy goal tending wins. Lets see how they fare against Bob. He drops his stick sometimes to make saves. Panthers know what it takes. Can the Rangers match it? I notice in games, this year third period pushes. Almost cost Oilers. Depending who is up or trailing. Can you withstand it? How healthy is Fox? You he has a target on his back. Panthers D really solid. Rangers healthy. Bruins were a little banged up. Rooting for Panthers as they never won and the rats on the ice means they played in a dump and now they are close again to their first. Also Paul Maurice deserves his first. Been a long time since a coach got two championships with different teams unless itâs Scotty Bowman. Not sure why? Itâs not 1994. Knicks already out of it as is Vancouver.
the Rangers are the least likely of the last 4 teams to win the Cup, according to Vegas.
I think Rempe being a liability in the 3rd periods are manufactured. It's not like it's his play, it's the refs image of him and our perception of that. What I mean is, he gets called for things that aren't penalties, and in normal situations that's a bad thing, I agree; however, our PK is + for the entire playoffs right? Haven't we only let in 3 PP goals all post season, 2 to Washington and 1 to the Canes? So it's not like even being in those situations is actually detrimental to our club. And those situations are created because he actually committed an infraction. So when you look at it with autistic clarity, you might as well just let the guy play.
Rangers PK is even. they alllowed 2 PP goals to the Canes.
@@robertperrotto870 Did they get the second? I can't recall. Still, an unbelievable stat.
Yes, they won game 4 with a PP goal, and they scored their second goal in game 6 on the PP.
@@robertperrotto870 the game 6 one is the one I can't remember. Good catch. Appreciate the correction and the stats.
im die hard islanders fan who also is a horrible sports bettor lol i just bet 500 on rangers win series i have no problem losing the bet. lol at least if they win ill get something out of it
Cats in 6
Rangers were able to beat caps and canes because of goletanding. Panthers have a lot better goalie so I don't think it's going to be easy. Canes could not get it in and they knew their downfall is the goalie so they could not push offense as much as they wanted to.
NY Fans are quiet? Quiet confidence? WTF is this guy talking about? I have never met a quiet NY fan in my life.
Florida plays with an edge is being very nice they're a dirty Carolina hurricanes team. If we don't come out play a full 60 minutes and try to match their intensity I'm concerned I don't want the Rangers to fall into the trap of playing Florida's game we're not a dirty team we have moments but we're not a dirty team. Florida's just a dirty team and they know how to conceal it well. Let's go Rangers
I was more concerned with Canes being dirty. They are sneaky and clutch, grab, etc. when refs are not looking. Two of our major injuries this year came against them and that is no coincidence.
The Panthers or Rangers are in for a rude awakening in the Finals. Panthers looked average, at best, in the Finals last year, are that history will repeat itself.
Whatâs this? A musical boy speaking as if heâs an adult and knows hockey?
Pathers vs dallas would be a crap finals to watch thats for sure
Same if it was Mavs or T-Wolves v Pacers. NBA is now going to have bad ratings now that the Knicks are gone. NYC carries it when the stars from the league arenât in it.
that would be an excellent finals two of the best teams with tons of talent.
That's a ridiculous thing to say. Edmonton probably has the least depth, but all 4 of these teams have proven themselves and whoever advances to the cup final will certainly have had to earn it.
Florida wants chaos and grinding. Rangers need quick zone exits and speed. Florida will not be intimidated. We need skill, smart, speed and goaltending!
LGR!!!
I donât see either of these teams winning the Cup.
Dallas beat Vegas that is saying a lot.Big word if Vegas was not injured they would've won the cup again.I say Dallas will take the cup.
@@rickhammond2473 Agreed. To extend, I donât see the Oilers having the goaltending and depth necessary to beat Dallas.
Edmonton isn't winning the cup and Dallas is beatable
@@AwardshqOf course every team is technically beatable, especially if they beat themselves. Iâll say this: no way would the Panthers or Rangers beat Vegas and Colorado to get to the conference finals. The East are just a weaker conference.
@@automatoncollectives7237 vegas and avs aren't in the final 4, so it doesn't matter lol
The Rangers may not win this series but I still felt Carolina was the showdown series just based on familiarity and the prior seven gamer two years ago. Carolina was also the odds on favorite, and rightfully so. But I guess it's the next that's always the best.
No Rempe NO Wins Knonw Rempe Know Wins
time for the Rangers series to turn into the WWE, why? the refs will let Florida do all the shit things they're allowed to get away with. Florida would be in the penalty box for 60 min if there were 10 refs on the ice to see all of the garbage they pull
Rangers arenât underdogs
They are the betting underdogs. That's fine.
Talking playoff statistics is irrelevant. The Caps were the biggest playoff embarrassment, and way too many of Carolinas shots were from far outside, easy saves. NYR haven't faced anything like a Cats team that took down TB & BB to get to this. If Krider hadn't scored that hat trick....well, you know.
Boomer just exclaimed why the NYR will be destroyed
Boomer, just say, I'm going to watch the game at home and be more comfortable. No need to go into a long explanation about how difficult your life, work is and how people often don't understand your situation. It's not about you, Boomer.
Chytil in tonight? Great. Then heâll miss the next 4. Heâs brittle.
It will come down to special teams and goaltending. Rangers have an edge in those areas. Panthers are undisciplined and take more penalties than any other team.
War!!!!!!! Rangers gonna turn MSG in to the Gaza Strip!!!!!!!!
Well that's just in poor taste.
@@StrobiwanKenobi this is one of the biggest idiot comments I have seen online. Agree with you
