This is a great looking figure. Since they’ve done this one as the official/unofficial Steve Ditko Spidey they need to do one that’s explicitly styled after Romita Sr.’s art.
If you want to get technical: AF Spidey is when he was a teen while the RYV Spidey was when he was much older so that is probably a good reason for the size differences.

I would say that this release is better for not just the correction of the spider logo on the back, but also because people can actually SEE the figure itself.
I got mine this morning. This figure kicks ass and it's so nice to finally have grabbing hands! I have him hanging upside down in the classic pose. Definitely recommend.
The accessories along with the very cool painted blue spider on the back is good but I do think it definitely really needed an unmasked.........Steve Ditko looking Peter Parker head sculpt for sure, Good review.
Checked the Target app today, stated they were in stock, but the options to order it for pick-up or ship was not an option. Had to go in the store. Went into the store and nothing on the pegs. Saw a worker and kindly asked him about it and he said it was in the back. He went back there and came out with one for me. I only wanted one even though he asked how many i wanted. I said thank you so much! When you ask a worker, please dont be dicks about it. I have never had one Target worker giving me a problem when I ask them about a figure. Walmart, in the other hand🙄. You can be as nice Mother Teresa and they wont give you the time of day. 😂

Was watching this video and went on Targets website set for store pick up and they had 25 % off toys so got him for $22 and some change. Hopefully they find it in store and stock so I can go pick it up after work. Thanks for the vid if not seeing this I would have prob missed out with all the scalpers in my area. God Bless 🙏
If this figure had the RYV feet it would have become the best spider-man figure at the moment, I'll wait to see if Hasbro will eventually make a new Spider-man figure with sculpted or raised web lines on the costume.
I've seen people swap the feet, but they look a little big on the smaller figure imo

Bought this guy a few weeks ago when I happened to see him when I found a Target when I was on vacation. I just opened him up a few minutes ago. I agree with you about the underarm wing accessories but the other web accessory is dope. I have him hanging upside down like you do and he looks so awesome. I'm trying to use dynamic posing with my figures and this is a great way to do it. Love your reviews by the way!

Just got this figure today. Almost missed it since the packaging blended into the shelf. Its a really nice figure. Love the amount of hands you get.

Bought this figure and seriously impressed with the articulation and quality. One of my favorite figures of the year.
I just want to walk into a store and buy a single carded, classic red and blue suit Spider-Man Marvel Legend at retail price. Why is this not an option? Everything is a paint variant or some kinda specific costume and all the classic suits end up in multipacks with figs I don’t want.
For a collector line, they can’t produce something like that and continuously have it stocked in stores. Retail likely wouldn’t carry it and sales wouldn’t be great. Don’t worry though, Spider-Man figures get released all the time
@@MCUcollector24 I’m not even looking to see it continuously on shelves. Just see one roll around every year or 2 with various accessories to differentiate em. My bro has been collecting Spider-Man legends for about 3 years and in that time we’ve seen 1 single carded, red and blue Spider-Man at retail. It was the animated version and it was the only one on the shelf. It felt like winning the lottery😹

@@MCUcollector24 It was. I’ve never seen my bro so happy😹 It’s a great figure too. Almost EXACTLY what I’d want in a Spider-Man fig. The colors are perfect but I could do without the cell shading and now we’re in a world where other Spider-Man figs have drop down hips and toe articulation so there is no real perfect Spider-Man legend atm.
I’d love to see em throw the kitchen sink at a Spider-Man fig and call it an “Ultimate.” Give him every hand ya got, all the web effects, a spider sense effect, an unmasked head or two, a loose mask, a backpack, camera, pizza box and a flight stand. Upcharge accordingly. I’d jump all over that for Spider-Man and a few other iconic characters.

I had to buy this one cause i broke my original Amazing Fantasy, and saw this one at target, and it hurt when i saw the spider emblem on the back be blue, i like the accuracy, but i love the red spider over the blue

man i was so happy when i saw this on shelves, i missed it first time around
I bought him and after about 2 months of playing with it and posing, his ankles started tearing and ripping. His calfs are almost made out of rubber and I’m worried

Well some may want the Blue logo Spidey anyways .even if they got the amazing fantasy Spiderman. Still good to buy if you can afford it.these are fun figures.

I went on your page last night and looked for your reviews 😅. Mine came in yesterday.
Kind of embarassing to have basically a "You know the last figure? We made it better!" but it has the same issues arent fixed with crazy limited diaphragm, lack of toes joints, crap web wings, bad butterfly etc. Oh well, its a fun body to cuatomize on to make it better.

also Target isn't letting you order to pick up in store and so far none of the stores I know have them on the floor you have to have someone get them from the back.
On target it says that the figure is in stock but can not be picked up in store or shipped. Why is that?

The Paint On The Back Spider Is So Messed Up 😥
I get that the blue spider is accurate, but I dislike how it clashes with the rest of the suit. I got the original as a replacement for a defective Scarlet Spider, along with Shocker, I'll stick with that.
Gonna be honest, this is the easiest skip in the entire ML lineup for me. Literally just one paint difference and that’s it. Prefer the one I already have.
I know its hard to understand..but not every figure released is meant for the ppl that collect everything hasboro shits out...some ppl might not have been able to find the last one, bc....ppl are dicks and literally sold it out in a day in most areas. But thanks for posting the pointless statement.

Target never shipped out the preorders. Not all stores even got it. Stores probably only had the one shipment too
