I feel I'm the only person in Stock Car community that actually thought this meeting was good as I prefer meetings with 15 - 20 cars.

Need some new shale tracks built. Everyone loves shale as there is more chances to overtake and it's just more exciting. I live in Scarborough and Oliver's mount gets a lot of people watching superbikes so id love a stadium built here. So many areas you could build one and a lot of money isn't been used at the moment so it would be great. However, that's for the future

Harry Mate yeh i really hope that to, we have lost coventry and on the brink of losing stoke and belle vue, if we can get one built, it would help a lot

That was maybe one of the dullest stock car races I've ever seen lol, thanks for sharing though

edward harris whats your opinion on brisca f1? You posted a similar comment on my semi final video, just curious but many thanks for the comment :)

SJ Videos Good question I think that tarmac racing has become a bit boring after it had a bit of a resurgence in the mid 2000s, I've always been more of a shale fan as races on shale have more variables. I think its the long tarmac tracks (Ipswich, Hednesford) in particular produced follow my leader type racing where not a lot happens. I think the sport as a whole is not in the best of health after we lost Coventry now Stoke and Belle Vue looking set to join them add to that an ageing and dwindling fan base it just doesn't look great right now. Don't get me wrong I love the sport you can't beat the sound of a Chevy V8 firing up and on the whole racing is good.

edward harris couldn’t agree more, the loss of tracks doesn’t help at all as it weakens the sport, Ipswich and hednesford are a hot rod track in my eyes, and i think in my opinion, kings lynn is now the best shale track going for the F1’s. But over the years of watching i do see a lack of contact. Maybe the sport is getting to expensive and drivers dont want to damage their cars as they probably know what the repair bill would look like.

Totally agree Ipswich in particular and Hednesford are Hot Rod tracks both are too long for any real stock car racing and yes Kings Lynn is the best shale track we have now, it picked up the slack after Coventry went very well and is a nice venue (just a bit out of the way) I think way too much money is being spent on cars these days and it does seem they don’t want to scratch them, I remember many times when I was a marshal at Coventry drivers would give the thumbs down so we’d stop the race only for the driver to be absolutely fine just didn’t want his car left on track (thumbs down being the signal that driver is in distress) I get it to a certain extent that they spend a lot of money on cars and don’t want huge repair bills and time spent repairing cars, but you then have to wonder why race a contact formula? I don’t know we’ll all keep going until we’re too old because no matter what we love the sport..
