This SC team did such an awesome job! You showed everyone what can be done when you work as a team. You all hit home runs. There are so many parts of the trial that are my favorite, but I definitely want to point out when John M said in Closing that how dare the Defense attack SLED and other LE agencies when AM held back evidence by saying he was not at the kennels! Thank you all!

When folks on the internet come up with a brilliant observation that somehow every law enforcement officer or member of the prosecution missed, there's usually a reason for it. All of these people -- Alex, the cops who responded, virtually every one of these prosecutors -- is a hunter. They've seen hundreds of animals shot to death. Maggie's body was riddled with bullets. Paul had the back of his head blown off. You didn't have to get close to them to know how they died. Trust me -- if they'd been poisoned and Alex immediately said "they were poisoned" the police would have picked up on it. This was not something they "failed to bring up" in court.

Have you seen the timeline of Paul's, Maggie's, and Alex's phone data and Alex's car data? Honestly, I live in SC, only about an hour from Hampton and I just didn't get into any of this, when it happened. It wasn't until the trial had begun and approximately into the 2nd week, my mom told me it was a "must see" - so I went back to the beginning to catch up. But it wasn't until the trial was over, that I read the timeline and when you get to the timeframe where Maggie's and Paul's phones are locked forever, to realize at about that exact time, they were blown away, is chilling. For anyone reading this and that hasn't seen it, Google Murdaugh Timeline of Evidence: This is what happened the night Paul and Maggie were murdered. It gives details about the entire day, including some calls and FaceTime that Alex deleted from his phone so extraction of info from his phone doesn't match the main data base information.

I thought the prosecuting attorney Waters was amazing!! Nailed it!! He painted the picture so clearly and pushed Alex to say things he didn’t want to say. Nothing left unanswered except for Alex’s continual lying! I think he became a pathological liar and narcissist!! He had a skill at playing people. He even convinced his brothers he wasn’t guilty of murders. They knew he’d stolen but I just think they didn’t want to believe it!! He became so callused he no longer had a conscience!! I loved the judges comments when Alex was being sentenced!! The thing is we can all do things we never thought we could do…but he gradually let it take possession of him! I think maybe he got to a point where he didn’t know what was true and what wasn’t over all!!

Teamwork makes the dreamwork. Thank you all, for bringing justice for Maggie and Paul, Alex should have been their protector, ultimately all he did was try to protect himself, you exposed the truth, he was even on the stand unable to tell the truth. I followed the whole trial from the U.K. Was great to see your legal system at work, your tight team really nailed it ! Kudos to each and
everyone. Thank heavens for the testimony’s of those affected & close to Alex who over many years suddenly realised they didn’t know him at all and
also had become victims of his deception, Alex harmed everyone, finally at trial, he shot him self! I send healing and love to all that have sadly been deceived and hurt by this narcissistic compulsive liar. we have yet to see more, the depth of what damage he has done knows no bounds.. he is the cruelest of cruel. He’s now in the right place, behind bars for the murder of his wife and child, I hope as judge Newman says, the final image of them looking him in the eye as he took their lives haunts him every day & night.
Again, this was a huge case and extremely complex. Yet you made us all see what we needed to see to without doubt know the killer was Alex, he had used & totally abused his power and bought shame upon his family and & so much hurt to the area he served and the good innocent people of the low country.
Thanks for the insight during this interview, great work all.💜

Someone must have been suspicious of his methods, lies and lack of morals, but perhaps didn't have the means to go against him or thought it was a lost course as Paul's friend expressed (the one who's girlfriend got killed in the boat-accident). I do believe AM revealed his bad character to a lot of different people over the years, but I'm not sure anyone knew just how sinister he was - to this day I'm not sure he knows himself.
