- If you want to play »Jazz« on your Ukulele - it’s good to know some basic chord shapes and basic progressions. The »2-5-1«-Progression is one of the most common progressions in Jazz - and here you go with some chord shapes to play it in C Major.
Let me know in the comments how you liked that tutorial and if you have any questions or wishes!

Just love your playing style and your manner of teaching. Bravo!!!
Thanks for the lessons in English! Danke, danke! 😊
James Hill, Lyle Ritz, Glen Rose, Gerald Ross, Garam Jeon, are all great ukelele players who can play jazz, but Iso Herquist is the only jazz musician I've found who plays ukulele!
Brilliant!! I watch your lessons all the time and play along, learning but still don’t understand a word.. Wish I’d actually listened in my German lessons at school instead of day dreaming about girls, guitars and rock n roll!!
Excellent lesson pal! Thanks 🙏
So happy to receive one of your tutorials in English!!!
No, will watch every thing you put up!
Dear Iso, Thank you very much for your lesson in English!
Yay!😊 Really glad I found your videos and especially your first video in English! Great lesson, the kind that lets you experiment with the chords you taught and get more familiar with closed voicings. Thank you sir!
Excellent 👍👍👍
Great tutorial, but could you show the position on the fret board. In a diagram.😊
Very well taught and demonstrated.
Nicely explained - thank you
🤯 echt super. danke!
Great lesson! Thank you, Iso!
Awesome 👍👍👍
What a great video. Please do more jazz videos please. Can you show more 2-5-1 progressions up the neck and with different keys? Thank you. I just saw that you have more on your channel. Great.
Hej - there are already two more: czcams.com/video/mA4xBjXQorE/video.html
This was an awesome video. Is that a Low G tuned Tenor Ukulele?
Hej. Thanks. Yes, that’s Low g tuning, but a soprano Ukulele.
Great video. The G9 chord is actually a Dm6 or Bm7/b5 according to my chord app. I also notice that there is no G in your G9 chord. What am I missing?
The shape can be a G9, a Dm6 or a Bø - depending on the root played by the bass. It’s nothing special to drop the 5 or the root in a voicing.
@@IsoHerquistsUkulele Got it! Thanks for the reply.
Excellent lesson, just what I was looking for. Where are you located?
Thank you. Frankfurt, Germany
Fantastic, more of the same please.
