How to Locate & Cast net Greenbacks/Bait with the Perfect Chum

  • Here is a great tutorial on how to locate and cast net greenbacks & bait with the perfect chum. Never struggle to catch bait again with these simple but great tips. The ingredients that I have been using for the past seven years include Tropical Purina fish food, menhaden oil and water. Mix the concoction until you acquire a dough texture, then make small balls the size of a quarter or so. Periodically toss the chum into the water allowing it to slowly disperse. After about 10 minutes you will probably have more bait surrounding your boat then you could ever need.

I can't believe I'm just now seeing this! School is killing my fishing game. I use the same mixture. I usually make a big batch and put a bunch of zip lock bags of it in the freezer. Works like a charm especially at night with a portable dock light.

Hi Joshua Taylor love your chum idea of adding the menhaden oil. How far in advance do you make your chum prior to using it. I too buy the 50lb bags of tropical fish food and I mix it up on the boat as I use it but I like your idea of adding the menhaden oil which could make an even bigger mess on the boat so I’m thinking of making a bunch of containers ahead of time and just grabbing 1 or 2 each day. Will that work or do you think it will it get foul? Thanks, good videos, Glenn
