Once we've removed them from power we could take away their pensions - and sue them for the return of all of OUR money they've stolen. And as for directorships, you have to be "of good repute" to be a company director, so that would rule out the overwhelming majority of ex-politicians. All that needs to happen is for someone to enforce it - another job for a future government. That should give them some idea of the conditions under which they expect others to live.
