- Another Jomox Alpha Base techno session. Sorry, no video footage from the session this time.
Gear used:
- Jomox Alpha Base - does everything,
- Boss RC-202 - only does some compression in real time and filter tricks. No sounds of its own.
Recorded in a single session to Tascam DR-05 recorder. No post-production.

Kick does kick. Mbrane does main 'melody' line and bassline. The pad is a looped sample (X sample 1 track).
Exzellenter hypnotic Track👍
Particularly enjoyed hearing what it can do with the pad sample. Enjoying your entire AB video series👌
Klingt richtig gut!
Top notch, as always!
wyśmienite 🖤
Excellente cette track, on pourrait ce croire assie sur une planche de surf a ce laissé promené par les vagues .
Pure plaisir 💚

I love it ! 👏
well done, really enjoyed this
Any chance to see this track released on Bandcamp? I'm liking this a lot ❤
@@IterViator89 thanks!!! there's a chance but not soon. Text me via Instagram @dobytek_mati and I can send you the wav file for this track. It's not mastered though.
Would you recommend the Alpha Base or the Digitakt to a complete beginner?
@@drake1011 based on price and bigger screen of digitakt, I'd say digitakt. But honestly they are totally different things, and the proper answer needs more details.
I disagree. It depends on what you are looking for. Alpha Base is an Instrument. Digitakt is a Sampler. 2 different worlds. If you want to make your own sounds with quality drums then you want the Alpha Base. If you rather want to work with samples then get a Digitakt or Octatrack. Personally I would recommend the Alpha Base because you learn the basics and get an understanding and feeling for the sounds that define the electronic music Genre. Personally I started my dawlesss journey with a Syntakt and loved it. Still play with it. Now with an octatrack mk 2 and prophet 10 hooked up as well. I hope this experience helps.
Are you upgrading to the Alpha Base 2?
Can't afford it at the moment and the upgrade is not so drastic so I'll stick with mk1 for the foreseeable future
@@MaharadzaStunt not that you need too, you have this one mastered. Youre the reason I was deciding to buy one. Wasn’t sure which to start with… Thought the 2nd one might be easier to grasp with the new screen and all.
@@drake1011 I don't think either of them is particularly difficult to grasp. If you can read 100 pages of manual (or even just half of it), you'll be able to understand the machine and after developing some muscle memory, you can master it. I don't really understand why people complain about the screen tbh.
