Both are spin offs from popular sitcoms with black family with a daughter going off to college but while Denise left after the 1st season while Zoey is currently on her show.

Never really watched Grownish or ADW...but I knew the difference because ADW's line have more substance and have longevity...great writing. Grownish's dialects seems to be more about zingers or sex.
Where are A Different World reruns streaming? Hulu had them but took them down because of Cosby.

It was just before their time that's all. I'm 38 and I was a teen when that show was out they weren't even born yet. So can't expect them to feel a certain way about it. Their kids will think the grownish show is lame when they get older lol that's just how it works.
