I am also using Rode wireless Pro in my setup. The Rode wireless pro have 2 really versitile function of: 1. 32 bit float internal recording (you will never peak, can edit freely in post). 2. Auto gain level (also, will never peak). The set come with 1 Receiver and 2 Transmitters + 2 Rode lavalier 2 (high quality lav mic). I think the Rode wireless pro's audio quality is better than DJI 1 (that you are using) and DJI 2. However, the DJI 2 mic works better with Action 4 since there is a wireless connection between the Action 4 and the Dji 2 mic. So you still get the audio to the Action 4 and still waterproof.
    Just some information...

Oh wow.. the DJI is already amazing and if it’s better that’s crazy. Audio is so important haha. I might switch my camera to the DJI mic 2 and get the osmo just because they connect so easy ahah

@@topmaster999 should grt the action 4 and DJI mic 2. If you do not have any other use for wireless microphone, just get the DJI mic 2 transmitter only. It will connect wirelessly to Action 4.

@@topmaster999 however, the audio quality can be good, but cannot as good as Rode wireless pro with Rode lavalier 2.

Really.. the rode is compatible with the go pro?

@@topmaster999 no, still have to use Media Mod or Media Adapter :(

Why wouldn’t you just use the mic without rx. That way you can sync audio and video post. Only take a few seconds. Just have to use some sort of clapper board 🎬 to get it aligned.

Less crap to route on the helmet. Also they make lavelier and boom mics to attach to the dji mic. So you could keep the dji mic somewhere else out of the helmet. Although i do like how you crammed the unit into the chl pad.

I thought about that but it was just an extra step I didn’t wanna do 😂. I’ve got a cage for my GoPro now and everything just neatly sits in it 😁

I use the Purple Panda and I''m not happy. At highway speeds, the wind noise is unacceptable. On my last video, I made the captions into graphics so all the dialog was readable. I'm not talking a lot, so I hope it's not too intrusive. In my off-road videos, the sound is acceptable. The other thing is that it's difficult to secure the mic inside the helmet. I'm currently using a sophisticated system involving duct tape. czcams.com/video/n39L8tl3st4/video.html&ab_channel=RetiredAdventureRider

Oh wow duct tape, very expensive set up 😂. Your auido doesn’t sound bad to me! But I was only watching your video on my phone. I find once you get headphones on or listen to it on the computer that’s when you can really tell if it’s bad audio. This DJI mic is crazy but if your only running one mic inside your helmet your gonna loose a lot of the exhaust noise
