Plot:
Tenchu 2 is set in Japan during the Sengoku period, four years prior to the events of Tenchu: Stealth Assassins. Following the death of the elder Lord Godha, a coup against his benevolent son Matsunoshin is launched by his uncle Motohide. Each is supported by a ninja clan; Matsunoshin is supported by the Gohda's long-standing allies the Azuma Ninja, while Motohide ends up manipulated by both a neighbouring lord and the rogue ninja group called the Burning Dawn led by Lady Kagame. The lead characters are three young ninja of the Azuma clan who trained together since childhood. They are Rikimaru, dedicated to his duty as a ninja; the rebellious and free-spirited Ayame; and Tatsumaru, the chosen successor to their mentor Azuma Shiunsai. The storyline is split across three campaigns following first Rikimaru and Ayame, and then Tatsumaru.

This original trilogy desperately needs a remake. I’m entirely sure the newer generation would also fall in-love with the characters and the story..🙌🏻🔥🐉
I rank this second only to mgs v series when it comes to stealth action
I'm gonna try to play them now in emulators because I loved tenchu 4 (the only title I played)

I could probably think of others if I tried and then have a debate with myself as to which was better but Return From Darkness for the Original Xbox with bonus content, extra stages, enemies, story, items & extra special techniques etc was an amazing release also. I recently decided to start collecting retro consoles and games and miraculously found an original copy of Tenchu Return From Darkness for the original Xbox, brand-new and sealed on Amazon for only £60!🙌🏻🔥I was sure it was a re-seal then I noticed it also had the unbroken official Xbox seal too! Absolute score!🙌🏻

The Tenchu series definitely deserves to be brought back.
All the Ninja games from the 90s to the early 2000s deserve to be remastered just like the Ninja Gaiden games.
100 percent agreed. Tenchu shaped my life in absolutely enormous ways and coaxed me down the path towards the occult and the supernatural. I’m incredibly grateful towards the producers of this franchise in particular but also to those of all stealth-‘em-up titles that I’ve loved over the past 30 years.

What i love about tenchu2 is the mission editor, back them we have competition on it
You can perform many different stealth kills, depending on Rikimaru's position towards the enemy: standing up, kneeled down, from behind, from sideway, up front, jumping over enemy; each of them results in a different stealth kill.

My favorite stealth kill of his is when you nudge an enemy and alert them for a bit, he does this bone breaking move.
One of my favs on PSX... All levels on "Grand Master"... I never forgave Tatsumaru his betrayal.

i remember when i was 13 yo as non english speaker play this game cant even finish the training lol its so confusing and that cricket noises stuck in my mind because im too long in training area lol

How do you use reshade thing? First of all, it makes textures and lightings better, right? Does it only work with Duckstation or other emulators as well?
Yes, right, You can use the duckstation emulator and install reshade, the renderer is the same as the one used in the emulator, you can select vulkan in the emulator and reshade it too, for presets you can skip it, for effects you can choose what you want or install all the effects, to activate it When the game is playing, press the home button, there you can choose for use the effects

How do you reshade it, exactly? It's like an ePSXe engine?
Check out my game im working on, its just me currently, its a traditional ninja experience.
I use duckstation emulator, maybe for epsxe it also works. reshade is just an additional application, you can try installing it, place it in the emulator folder, and select the renderer according to the renderer used in the emulator, select or install all the effects. When finished and about to start the game, press the home button to select the effects

I just play this game in emulator Duckstation with Xbr filter and add Reshade
Thanks for finding this...and I thought it would be great....D-bars this is horrible and the soundtrack is annoying...the graphics are trash too...but at least you finally did what I asked...give me something better to watch than this...
