Insanely detailed guide. I'm normally not very good against bosses my first run but after watching through this tutorial before fighting the boss I got a flawless on my first try. Thank you for the effoet put into this, helps a lot ^.^

@@esgn5206 Same here, just beat the pilot as my first. I like this character the best, the second item slot makes the run more flexible, you can coin flip the low/med tier chests with the lockpick early on to save your keys, and the shop discount comes in really handy too.

I just am really impatient so I like playing robot and convict the most because they have really good early room clear. I tend to do rat in most of my runs so the rat sack kinda invalidates the extra active item slot, which is the strongest part of the pilot, but the lockpick and extra ammo and discount are definitely the most effective later on.

It took me 100 attempts to learn how to even make it to the Dragun on a semi-regular basis, and after I beat them the first time, I used the Bullet that can kill the past and absolutely got my ass handed to me by the pilot's past's boss. Given how hard it is for me to even get there, I wanted to prepare. Thanks to you I got it on my second attempt. I'm so happy. Cheers!

Man, I got DESTROYED the first time I attempted this! I reach the Dragun so rarely that I didn't want to try again without fore warning of second phases or changes in attack patterns. This guide was so clear and thorough. Thank you! Only soldier-boy to go, now. I've fought the big dimensional horror thing twice now. Even with your walkthrough it kicks my ass. Last time I ran out of ammo, and didn't realise I still had my sidearm until it was too late! Wish me luck!

I wish I had watched this before fighting. It's so disheartening to have FINALLY beaten Dragun and have the bullet assembled only to lose to this ship. I'm not sure I'll ever put together another run good/lucky enough to try this boss again.
I’ve been Gungeoneering lately but I get real bad anxiety for bosses the first couple times when trying not to get hit. This guide really helped me - flawless’d the pilot! Thank you for the diagrams and example clips. Great editing and clear explanations!!!! Thank you so much
@@wal7ervasqu3z63 you have to craft the bullet that can kill the past and thatvis created from a prime primer( sold in shop) , acrane gunpowder( found in minecart puzzle in the 3 level) and planar lead in the 4 level in the invisble maze, and obsidian casing from destroying the dragun skull, when you have all the part you give it to the blacksmith at the forge you can get the bullet
i used to dodge through the laser as well, but found out that if you dont do that and use the entire attack to attack, you tend to get a way faster kill, since most of the patterns don't require any dodges, so you can just spam away with your weapons
Tip: turn on “Fire your guns” by AC/DC when you start this bossfight. I lost even after watching this video and then tried it with music and not only did I win, but it felt 100x more badass.
Honestly, I got hit twice by just doing what the game pointed me towards doing - staying between the big lasers and veering back and forth, with the occasional "dodge roll"

Fantastic video and wish I had found this the first time. No damage taken and one blank used. Definitely dodge through lasers like he says, its literally amazing.

thanks a ton, I got smoked by this boss the first two tries which feels really lame after otherwise beating the game. You don't get a lot of time to process this kind of strategy when you get dumped in and I beat it easily after trying your strats.
I just lost on my first try (even after watching this video). I only needed one more hit. Really. There was no more red visible of the hp. And I had a blank left that I just wanted to use but I pushed the button just a little bit too late. Really just a tiny moment. That's bitter. At the beginning I forgot to use the active item (but realized it and startet using it) and got hit a few times very unnecessarily. Second half I did much better, learned the movements. Next time I'm gonna win!

Hopefully I can make Marine a first attempt as well, but I've heard bad things about that one). This one by far was the closest one. You probably just dodged it wrong, you have tô dodgeroll when its coming, if it is not moving you cant dodge trough it

Rainbow chest run makes getting to the end pretty easy if you have the clone and the machine guns/ patriot
