Songs with rap is a generic Kpop formula type of song.. but this song Lagi from Bini just showed you what a typical formula of an OPM song (original pinoy music).. pure vocals. As other mentioned already, this is what a Filipino pop song sounds like and I love that Bini is bringing it back.

@Anna Rita I’m referring to opm ballads.. those songs that don’t have rap on it. Those songs that are popular around 90s. Tootsie Guevarra songs for your reference.
I am aware as well that some Kpop songs don’t have rap.. like IU, several songs of SNSD, Se7en, etc. I commented in his video since he expects some rap from the song since which is now commonly used in a lot of pop songs.
I love that BINI is releasing songs that really sounds Filipino. The song, ugh! I want it to be played all over PH radios! I'm happy that BINI is releasing songs like these!
Good mv, vocals and melody. I like that there's no rap. Rap in the middle of a song is already getting formulaic tbh. I agree it's not super catchy but it's nice and pretty chill. Just sweet and cute 💖

There are songs that are actually good with rap parts and there are songs that are great to leave it as it is and this is one of those. Raps are not always needed and one has to be very careful in putting them in a song because if not put well together, the result could end up sounding cringey especially for people who could actually understand the language. Lagi is a cute bubblegum pop song that is expected to sound light and easy to listen to, so I think their music production team did a great job in not inserting a rap part here.

@@cobaltbluemaru yeah totally agree, i feel like the composers are trying to experiment and mixed 2010's OPM with modern sound... I like Lagi tho... They're actually trying to make BINI sound more filipino, and they actually made them sing in tagalog although i feel like there's a lot of improvements they could add to the song, rap perhaps but overall its good😊❤️
