Most people don't get the Principal Squiggy joke. In Scream, the principal was played by Henry Winkler who played the Fonz in Happy Days. Happy Days had a spinoff series called Laverne And Shirley which had a character named Squiggy. The same actor that played Squiggy in L&S is playing him here as a principal. Same hairstyle and everything

fun facts this movie made Keenan Ivory Wayans the very first African-American director to direct a Hollywood film that grossed $100 million domestically in the USA. In an early script it was going to reveal that the killer was Damon Wayans for his brothers holding out on him in this movie, but due to scheduling conflicts it was rewritten the way it is now

One of my favorite facts about this movie is that the title "Scary Movie" was the original working title for the movie that became "Scream". Once they swapped over, the Wayans Bros snuck in and got the rights to the Scary Movie title. :)

I thought so too. Apparently there were a lot of deleted scenes and outtakes from that scene, and that was one of them. I think we just misremembered it, because its a better version of the scene.
