I don't even care that he doesn't know how to apply the makeup, the fact that he knows so much about what he's supposed to be using/doing is amazing. Him paying attention is so much more impressive.

I think this has been the perfect example of how you can know all the textbook stuff but won't really be that good until you gain hands on experience aha
I thought it was a really funny and cute video and he did try his hardest you could definitely tell that but I couldn't help but cringe when he did not blend that bronzer out at all I mean it was so noticeable!!! I mean I have only been using bronzer for like 4 months or so and I only own like 2 1 matte and one shimmer so I ain't an expert on them or anything but even I know you need to blend them out so they are hardly noticeable just enough to look naturally sun kissed and a tiny bit darker than your foundation but not orange which is how Tati looked when James put bronzer on her because he didn't blend it out so it just looked very unnatural not that great and kinda oompa loompa looking!!! I mean everyone who loves makeup and enjoys doing makeup should know the key to a natural flawless finish is blending everything properly I mean it ain't rocket science just saying!!!

How much effort James puts in is really incredible. I mean, he isn't the best at make up, but you can tell that he at least pays attention to what she does.... that's a rare quality in guys. He's definitely a keeper and I'm so happy for her :)

I absolutely love how supportive and cute James is with you and your makeup/CZcams career. I love when your first impressions turn into vlogs and you say "James, do you think it's silly I paid $150 for a foundation" and he says No Tati, you look beautiful! :) He is absolutely adorable and it shows how much he loves you.

Compared to all of the other "boyfriend/fiancé/husband does my makeup" videos I've seen this is by far the best one, and he knew what everything was! That's so nice that he cares about what you care about :)

Even if the end result wasn't the best, the fact that he knew some of the names of the things he was using and how to use them was the sweetest. Out of all the "boyfriend does my make up" videos I've watched, it seemed he was really trying and not clowning around (no pun intended 😂).
There are moments where he seems like he really knows what he's doing (the practical application needs practice, but the theory is there). It seems like he pays a lot of attention to Tati because he knows a surprising amount, and that's really sweet.
I've seen lots of these boyfriend/husband/SO makeup videos and James is by FAR the most well-versed in makeup terminology and products.
When James new that Tati's primer was a dupe because he watched her videos I died a bit.. you guys are so cute

i think James is a very adorable partner. he pays attention to what she does in daily life because he keeps on saying "I think this is how you do it" and it does not seem like he is forced to do her makeup ( i have seen alot of boyfriend does my makeup videos where the boyfriend looks uninterested or simply miserable ) and he is clearly having fun doing her makeup . overall he seems like a very outgoing person. fun to be around with. im happy that he is your fiance now Tati, god bless you both. have a happy married life . This was hilarious. My cheeks hurt from smiling. All things considered, it's not that bad. James was more ambitious than the partners in other videos. If he'd done something more neutral and less dramatic I think he might have pulled it off.
