My boyfriend used to sing this song for me while holding me and while i had my head lying on his chest, whenever i had anxiety or was feeling sad. I don’t get anxiety attacks anymore, but we are still together - and i know he would still sing to me if i asked him to. I love him.
Like my buddy likes to say "if they think I'm going to work the day this great man passes on to the next level, they are sadly mistaken". That about sums my feelings up for the man. Life would have been far less brighter without Bob. So grateful to have been in the room so often witnessing him ply his craft. It's going to be a sad, sad day. I can't imagine living in a world without Bob Dylan, but suppose he will always be here with his music and words. "It's not dark yet, but it's gettin there"
I am 70 years old. When I was at school my English master allowed me to debate the merits of Dylan's lyrics in class. He did concede that His Bobness could turn a phrase or few, but, overall, he remained unimpressed.
I have always thought that this song was an original song by Adele. The lyrics is so poetic. I can just sense so much love when the writer was writing it.
Billy Joel released the first version in 1997 about a month before Bob Dylan released this one. I've also heard it covered by an Irish singer named Mary Black. I think it's a song that sounds better with a female singer.
Dylan and Cohen were two of our best lyricists, musicians. Both so often covered by vocalists considered to have “ prettier “ voices- but they were wrong. No one compares, comes close.
John Arwine ...in a perfect world. Neil Young is another good example and I'm fed up with all the ”pretty” so called entertainers that put out mediocre commercial pop.
John Arwine It was a different time then when there was no music video and the focus was more about the music. Now it’s style over substance. I went to see the Eagles in concert for example and the whole concert was a bunch of guys just playing and singing, no dancing, no stage show...boring by today’s standards but the music and artistry was incredible!
Garth Brooks blows this away. Bobs voice wasn’t his strong suit. But I’ve said my entire life Bob Dylan is the greatest songwriter all time. I just found out yesterday he wrote this one too. No one comes close.
My dear friend Julie, sent this to me after she asked the LORD what song to send me as my Birthday gift! I grew up with Dylan ...never heard this song... but oh what a gift 🎁 ! God Bless Us Everyone !!!
After Bob picked up that 64 Strat at Newport Folk Festival, he became this influence in music that will be felt for a long time. Long after he's gone his influence and music will inspire future generations. Hope to keep him here a bit longer. Not only is he an amazing musician but an amazing considerate wonderful person I have the privilege to call friend
In a crazy kind of way it just works for the strains of Dylan's raspy voice to evoke the feelings these beautiful lyrics present....He feels it and makes me feel it too.

Am always moved by the poetry in these stunning lyrics - and some wonder how it is Dylan was awarded the Nobel. And his voice is perfect for the lyrics.
Gracias Bob!!!!
I think the total presentation of Dylan's "Make You Feel My Love" is so unique that any cover done of the song really does not do it justice. Even though the covers are vocally good, they lack the passion that Dylan put into all his music, particularly this song. They are what they are, imitations. The original version literally gives you chills because you know he feels every word he is singing and makes you feel it too.
Not gonna lie, I thought it was an Adele original for so many years and I loved her version, I always will even though this original edges it. But how I found out that Adele's wasn't the original version was through a cover done by a South African Idols contestant named Thami Shobede, live on the competition. I may be a little bias, but that's my personal favourite
You cannot hear Garth sing this without believing he means every word in this song, just like the original. I'm gong to check out Bowies version, I'm sure it's incredible as well
Wow - I did not know Bob wrote this song !! It’s a classic - like so many of his. I adore Blood On The Tracks - every song is killer. Blonde On Blonde is also a brilliant album. The guy is a genius. Rxx

Very few people write a song of a life time. I’m talking a song that people will remember for their whole life. A song that people play at important events in their life weddings, funerals etc. Bob Dylan has hundreds of said songs. He is the most important person in music to ever live. Well maybe Woody Guthrie is because with out woody their is no Bob Dylan the way we know Bob Dylan.

"Life Itself" brought me here, both literally and figuratively. Loved the movie. Just finished watching it and had to hear this. I'll pick up the CD tomorrow.
Thank you Mr Dylan. Your songs will live forever. I just hope people attribute your songs to the new artists who sing them now. With the respect that they are only crediting greatness.

Neither Adele nor Billy Joel could write a suicide note that anyone would care about more than this song sung by this man. Keep getting your culture from the radio and cable tv. Fool.
@3:00 the shot of Dylan at the Aust Ferry on the River Severn. So Iconic. I remmber a friend had (probably still has) a MASSIVE original print of this. Epic song, great montage of shots. Total chills.
When I think of Dylan, like Tom Waits and Neil Young, he would have no business being a singer if he wasn't such a brilliant songwriter. When someone does a cover, they can only improve the vocals on a perfectly crafted song.
@@esthaltap9499 Oh my goodness, where to start, there are so many, one of my favourite albums is Nashville Skyline, not a bad track on it, but click on any Dylan song, you will begin to love him, take care :)
Thank you so much. Firstly I didn't like him, but step by step when I have started to listen him, I understood, why He received the nobel prix.. Very sensitive songs, if you can show me another love song please?
I think great poets, writers, and musicians should be taught in school. The stuff people love because its relatable to life. The feeling of music and the love and pain we share in our lives we find in great writers.
Looking at these pics of a young Bob Dylan make me realize Timothee Chalamet would be a perfect choice for a biopic. They definitely have similarities.
Just watched the movie Life Itself.......what a great movie, a real tear jerker. Dylan wrote the song To Make You Feel My Love, he’s one of the greatest song writers of my generation.......songs that will live thru many generations. If you get the chance, watch this movie. 🌸🌺🌸🌺🌸

Philip McG All I Ask Of You, I Can’t Make You Love Me, Hopelessly Devoted to You, Weekend in New England, One Day In Your Life, We’ve Only Just Begun, Feelings...
I agree. Probably the best love song ever but I'll give you a couple of close seconds...."Anyone Else But You" - Michael Cera and Ellen Page from the movie Juno and "I'll Stop the World and Melt With You" - Modern English. That's the top 3 :)
Do you know what Bob Dylan did right? Everything. He chose to be himself. That means it couldn't have been any other way. And that is why he so great! Hey BD fans... really groovy song... Summer Days. Have fun!

One of the great writers in history. Dylan needs to be taught in schools in the way Shakespeare is.
I am 70 years old. When I was at school my English master allowed me to debate the merits of Dylan's lyrics in class. He did concede that His Bobness could turn a phrase or few, but, overall, he remained unimpressed.
Shakespeare for English, Dylan for music, einstein for everything else
I do at my school. We were taught his work in English.
He didn’t write all his songs, but yes still strong poetically
Ps many many are covers of old songs like old black blues ect
I agree with you, so should Jazz
He wrote the handbook of POETIC LYRIC SONGWRITING of the 20th century. So glad we are still here.
his work in the 21st aint too shabby either. Love & Theft alone
Bob Dylan the man who put poetry into music ! He wrote blowing in the wind in 7 minutes ! An absolute Genius ! Never be another like Bob Dylan….

I agree. I would add to that list Joni Mitchell and Laura Nyro. Both wrote great songs and lyrics made popular by other artists.
To me an authentic feeling wins out over perfection.
Perfection is subjective anyway and it gets boring.
Dylan is proof positive that if you are a good enough songwriter and lyricist, you don't need a great voice or be pretty to be successful in music.

When the rain is blowing in your face
And the whole world is on your case
I could offer you a warm embrace
To make you feel my love
When the evening shadows and the stars appear
And there is no one there to dry your tears
Oh, I hold you for a million years
To make you feel my love
I know you haven't made your mind up yet
But I will never do you wrong
I've known it from the moment that we met
No doubt in my mind where you belong
I'd go hungry; I'd go black and blue
And I'd go crawling down the avenue
No, there's nothing that I wouldn't do
To make you feel my love
The storms are raging on the rolling sea
And on the highway of regret
The winds of change are blowing wild and free
You ain't seen nothing like me yet
I could make you happy, make your dreams come true
There's nothing that I wouldn't do
Go to the ends of this Earth for you
To make you feel my love, oh yes
To make you feel my love

@Lloyd Gittens I hate his performance
Billy Joel made the song popular long before Adele.
Neither Adele nor Billy Joel could write a suicide note that anyone would care about more than this song sung by this man. Keep getting your culture from the radio and cable tv. Fool.
@Susy Liberato is it necessary to name call?
Bob. You are a living legend. Thank you.
Really stunning.I feel like the whole world is in my face.
Oh yeah ❤❤ I FeelZ it! Loud n Cleary Skies… 🎉❤❤
I love country and gospel music just because the way a singer could transfer their feelings in to a song
What a catalogue of written songs by Dylan. Uncountable.
Couldn't say it any better or truer 'I would never do you harm, I'd go to the ends of the earth for you' :) xo
Great video of black and white old photos.
Great song from Bob Dylan.Thank You
🌞🌈💕🍀🌻🌹🦅
@3:00 the shot of Dylan at the Aust Ferry on the River Severn. So Iconic. I remmber a friend had (probably still has) a MASSIVE original print of this. Epic song, great montage of shots. Total chills.
Genius song writer/lyricist, Mr. Bob Dylan!
One of the best love songs ever. Thanks for sharing your gifts!!❤
Hi Rebecca, How are you doing?
Hi Rebecca,hope you’re okay ?
When I think of Dylan, like Tom Waits and Neil Young, he would have no business being a singer if he wasn't such a brilliant songwriter. When someone does a cover, they can only improve the vocals on a perfectly crafted song.
Beautiful song by the poet laureate of rock music very emotional lyrically and musically simply put its amazing!
Bob Dylan has so much Love when he wrote this song💞 great songwriter 👍
Hi Annie, How are you doing?
Nowadays i like so much this song.. And specially Bob Dylan... I FALL IN LOVE WITH HIS LYRICS
Try his song Lay Lady Lady, the most beautiful love song :)
Thanks indeed!!
If you could show me more songs, i will be very thankful for your present.
Big regards
@@esthaltap9499 Oh my goodness, where to start, there are so many, one of my favourite albums is Nashville Skyline, not a bad track on it, but click on any Dylan song, you will begin to love him, take care :)
Thank you so much.
Firstly I didn't like him, but step by step when I have started to listen him, I understood, why He received the nobel prix..
Very sensitive songs, if you can show me another love song please?
Now I go to listen to your advice... And i am going to search the album you recommended me 5 minutes ago
Dylan's version is so effective because he tells the story as his... it is his words...that is why we feel it so much. Beautiful, indeed.
Sir BOB DYLAN bravoooooooo!!! 1000° maravilha do mundo.
I think great poets, writers, and musicians should be taught in school. The stuff people love because its relatable to life. The feeling of music and the love and pain we share in our lives we find in great writers.
Hi Amanda, How are you doing?
Hi Amanda,hope you’re okay ?
The fry on his voice is charming for my ears...:-)
Awesome song! from the world's greatest.Sadly though he refused to collect his Nobel peace prize.well written lyrics!.
The Beautiful Bob Dylan. His song ALONE ONLY. Poetic justice in a kind WORD.
Hi Jacqueline, How are you doing?
Looking at these pics of a young Bob Dylan make me realize Timothee Chalamet would be a perfect choice for a biopic. They definitely have similarities.
Most beautiful love song ever written!
Hi Catherine,hope you’re okay ?
The young ones think the songs are theirs, but they are ours
Hi Shirley💐💐
Dylan is the best song writer of all time
Hi Carol,Hope you’re okay ?
Bob is a GENIUS and a treasure
Just watched the movie Life Itself.......what a great movie, a real tear jerker. Dylan wrote the song To Make You Feel My Love, he’s one of the greatest song writers of my generation.......songs that will live thru many generations. If you get the chance, watch this movie. 🌸🌺🌸🌺🌸
Truly wonderful lyrics. "The highway of regret", we've all been there right?
one of the greatest music talents ever. Genius
I new it had to be Dylan when I heard Adele's cover. No one can write lyrics like him. "I'd go hungry, I'd go black and blue .. ."
Hi Karena💐💐
if I could pick one song in all of history that I would like to have written it is this one. a lot of songs have made more money. . more royalties. . .but this. . .name a more beautiful love song. . ."crickets chirping"
"Crickets Chirping". I haven't heard that one. Who sang it?
Philip Earl McG you are right!, heart wrenching
I feel the exact same way about this song!!!!!
Nobody told me he wasn’t the greatest singer shocked to say the least.
Do you know what Bob Dylan did right? Everything. He chose to be himself. That means it couldn't have been any other way. And that is why he so great! Hey BD fans... really groovy song... Summer Days. Have fun!
Pelle d'oca. The ones who love Dylan, can feel what I feel. Huge track....
No one can beat dylan.
Artist of Respect.Thamk you.
