It's not a 1973 Ford XB GT Falcon, but it's still damn cool! Kick it in the guts Barry!
Its the american cousin
The original was a hq holden
This is a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat.
What a seriously cool project
first thing you notice it ain't a MAD MAX..XB
It's only one of the rarest cars on earth.
If they were going to make a new Interceptor & didn't use a Aussie Falcon Hardtop. This would be it. That Dodge looks the Ducks Guts mate. You could get custom wheels made that look more like the OG rims on Interceptor. But... You can't beat the original.
I disagree, looks like a cheap copy cat. Nothing wrong with making a car look different, to each person of choice. But that wouldn't been my car of selection. You got the S197 2005-2009, or can snatch up a 1970's Ford Mavrick, if your lucky a 70's Ford Fast back Mustang/none hatch back, considering this car looks like the platform of the Falcon anyway. But this dodge right here? I guess if your a dodge fan, you make do...
@@BATTLECATT00 But.... You can't beat the OG XB GT Hardtop.
@@rhettcorbett3346 Its a hard car to get, and cost a lot on madmaxcars. 70's Mavric and or a 70's hatch back would do. Seen the Mavric get the kit, and was outstanding. Car was going to be used at the wastelander weekend...
@@BATTLECATT00 It's just the shape & looks of the Hellcat that I like it as a Mad Max car. But being a Aussie you can no ty beat the Falcon XB GT Hardtop .
@@rhettcorbett3346 , I get that, just as a hellcat, to looks all weird, and not right. And this is because the front end layout final. Just doesn't look right. Now, I had a 71 Buick skylark, gear drive 350 chevy in it. All black, got the car back in 1988. Drove it until it became so rusted it was unsafe for the road, so I retire it. Was my daily driver, and most dependable car ever. Never broke down. All I did was, put side flares from a AMC Eagle, only used the front ones. The folded body fit to the rear wheel well outline. And my brother in law pestered me to put a fin on the roof, in which after a year I agreed, and a old 76 Camaro fin for the trunk section was used. And it was referred as the new interceptor version. And it looked good. For what it was, and what was done, it turned heads, and many people thought it looked cool. See what I am saying. And I never advertised it as a Mad Max car.
It was my preferred look, and I liked it. If I wanted the car, I know what web sight to goto and get it. But I wanted that Skylark. And I didn't want to do a cheap copy cat. It was a real cool looking car, with a good look to it. If I wanted to do a cheap copy cat, I would had used a Maverick, least the body line would be correct for the kit. That is all I am saying..
NICE‼️‼️👍🏾 ITS A DUCKS GUTS, SPACE4 HEADS‼️ A PIECE FROM HERE A PIECE THERE. WHEN DO WE GO FOR A RIDE!! WE GOT HIM? YEAH WE GOT HIM.
This is hilarious. A Mopar wanting to look like a Ford. Smooth move
One reason the owner chose a Mopar is because in Australia the Chrysler 300 is one of the police’s vehicles of choice down under. It’s basically like how police use Dodge Chargers here in America. In fact, the owner of Mad Cat actually ordered one of the new 392 300’s that’s coming out in 2023 to make it a modern version of Max’s first MFP car to match this one. Lol
@@codyerickson3550 cool, that was very interesting. Thx
Step off his jock mate! I don't see anything you have done that is as cool as his "Mopar" Interceptor
Hey fook you budday come on this car dont look like a ford it looks like a movie icon that will hopefully be rebuilt forever
Shit that dark bad
I am exactly 27 secs into this video and had to pause and say HOLY SHIT!!! I love it already!!!....and back to the video...
Very nicely put together video and very entertaining as well. Thanks for posting this.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Nah can't touch the original, which looks better anyway. That's why it's so iconic. But props for a sick burnout.
Doesn't have the 351 Cleveland sound either.
awesome! definitely a few bits here, a few bits from there...
Badass car 👍
I like this one, great idea.
Awesome homage.
Coolest car ever
Hell cat yeah go Max Rockatanski
Nice project !
Hooooly shit this is awesome
The body actually does follow similar lines to the 73 XB GT
Nein! A 70 Torino fastback looks like our Falcon. In fact this guy has a 70 Torino rear he is going to graft onto this Challenger.......should be interesting.
The car is mega, coolly implemented
1 day I knew this would happen very cool
It looks awsome i love it👍
I want.
"The last of the V8 Interceptors"
Kick it guts
The wheels don't look exactly like the interceptor wheels. But still a nice build and way cool! 👍
As far as i know they were Sunrasia steelies and are still in production and available in Aus
Just an Awesome work of art. What cool car.
My Wide body scat pack shaker is do to land at my dealer very soon.
Was looking into swapping out the 20” Rims for 18” Demon/ Superstock rims.
Research led me hear, because to realize my vision, I need to look into doing that same Demon brake mod that was done to this car.
Can you offer some guidance and possible idea of cost involved to do the demon brake conversion?
I'm a MOPAR man but you can't replicate an aussie icon like the black on black!
Sick!
That's fun!
Sik!!🔥
It just happened, Max, you know?
A piece from here and a piece from there.
A pppp-piece from here and a pppp-piece from there....
Sucks nitro, 600 horsepower.......👍
When do we go for a ride?!
@@venomousslayer8663 Come on Max, you've seen it, you've heard it.........😄
😃And my dream come true😎👍👍👍👍👍
I would have made it out of a 1968 AMC Javelin. Throw a Hellcat engine in it.
Seen a mad max inspired car made from a 1974 Javalin, had a dually rear end. Pretty awesome car. Vanity plate on the front end read One Mad Max.
@@michaelcoffman4185 there's sightings on a website somewhere can't recall. People have posted photos over the past 15 years of the cars inspired by MM.
@@darrelwillis6821 when I was a kid growing up in Indpls, someone had a Javelin, either a 71 or 74, painted black. Front vanity plate read :one mad max. Looked and sounded STRONG.
looks cool, nice Sound and im shure it gots a lot of Power. But sorry Guys... its NEVER Max Interceptor like the 1973 Falcon that melt my Heart :D
Not even a single mention of the original XG falcon GT
You mean a XB GT Falcon HARDTOP.
You mean mad maxmobile.
Kick it in the guts, Barry
How can I get that exact rear spoiler???
Hi, we believe that was a custom made item. Would recommend to look up Robert Selby @evildodge on IG and he can provide details!
I'd drive it....
I'm not gonna whine about it XD
Literally does anyone know if that Super charger is compatible with a 2019 Ford Mustang GT because in my opinion it says that it has a very strong resemblance to the Falcon but that doesn't make this car any less great
I'll give him a like for "effort"...
Oh my God.
Why isn't it possible to make that SC functional?
The blower would cause a massive restriction to the airflow coming into the engine when "switched off". The engine would run terribly off boost.
They've got it figured out now.
They put a throttle body on the back side of the high rise between the supercharger and intake that runs the engine when the supercharger is disengaged and there is a couple of one way flapper valves under the Scott injectors and it works fine with out the belt and pulleys spinning which engage or freewheel via an air conditioning type clutch.
This car already has a super charger on it which just has another cosmetically accurate super charger mounted above it.
There is actually a the factory supercharger underneath the Weiand casing...
Where can I get a mad cat
Ha!! Just look up Roberts IG and reach out. Maybe he'll build ya one. :D
How the hell did you get all this together? 😆
Magic!
Chaos in collaboration. hahah
A piece here a piece there.
His only weapon... 600 horses... of fuel injected vengence...
Nice Mad max tribute , but it isn't a Aussie icon
I could turn my mums Beatle an interceptor..
just got to move the steering wheel over...
Kick it in the guts Mary.
i want it.....
A Modernized Custom!
Fake blower….SWEET😂😂😂
Shit yesssssssssss.
I will give you this - it is a very cool looking replica of the original! However - there is nothing like the original! To me it's like when someone puts a LS Engine in a Mustang - although cool - well - it's just not the same. I prefer you guys redo the Blade Charger! Now that would be cool! Let Ford be Ford and Dodge be Dodge! Just my opinion!
Not exactly easy to find a 73 Ford Falcon. I would be happy with this car. Is it exact? No. But definitely brings the vibe in spades.
Given that it was a Ford. Why not use a Mustang?
Oi tudo bem meu nome é ubiratã eu tenho um opala interceptor no CZcams no Brasil dá uma conferida lá
this is just a absolute waste of effort. its like having a kid mash two hotwheels into one and all that money and time could have rather been used to put a real XBGT together and have imported. its goofy looking and then they don't even bother to put a functioning blower on they do the typical half assed measure of bolting it on and attaching it to a separate motor to spin up on command instead of providing any power. this is the fucking future people we can make these cars actually run at full power like a maniac would want. its all or nothing
It is so useless to do that to a totally great car as is from the assembly plant
Well... everyone has their own vision of builds.
Wish supercharger was real
pretty cool but just not the same..
the Mad Max myth is a ford falcon, why did you choose a dodge, it's really a shame, because the idea is very good.
I always loved this car, but was gutted when informed that blowers are always “working”, they don’t flick on and off with a cool red switch.
It astounds me that when building their own cars people go for “authenticity” by going to the trouble of fabricating this huge FAKE blower?!? 😂
Sorry mate it isn't a XB Aussie ford so it ain't the same
To me its a fail its not a true Mad Max car, in the USA as a police car maybe, why didn't you put in a working blower and not the movie prop version to me its a waste of blower parts plus the mad max car had a Nitro along with the blower watch the movie one of the actors in the movie said it has Nitro most of the Mad Max replicas failed too add the Nitro Bottle plus the picture of the mother and kid on the steering wheel, watch the movie it is there ,your car is cool that it uses a real hemi engine ,it would of kicked ass if the blower worked for real good job though it does look a lot like the Falcon for the style of the body of the Dodge car and the police in the USA and even Canada do use the Dodge as there police interceptor and they use the mustang as well , you guys did a great job of the body work on the Car so yeah very cool car .....
Nice try ! no disrespect but it doesn't even look right in my opinion as a guy who grew up watching the movie when it came out. It just doesn't look right
You had me onboard until the fake supercharger... so sick of fakery in the age we live in...
I get it,but it looks cheap and we know it's not.
not a ford so no from me
Don't like the fake supercharger. Get the real equipment or stick to the factory vehicle.
The wheels on the movie car were Chrome and the movie car was a F.O.R.D.
(Fixed Old Repaired Dodge)
not a D.O.D.G.E.
(Desperately Over Done Goddam Engine)🤷♂️🤦♂️
Yeah all good , it ain’t max , you have to much money!!!
Gay 😂
Don’t disrespect the original Mad Max by doing this 🤦🏽♂️
Why would you turn a new hemi beast hellcat into an old piece of shit ford falcon from the 70s
To each their own! :D
Shut it
Nope, just nope.
