You can check the fan through the diagnostics

You do realize you can turn the fan on using the cluster right?

My never kicked in. I run diagnostics and fan turns on. But doesn’t during normal run. I got it brand new 2018. Never heard a fan. Could it be bad thermosensor ?

Absolutely. I would start with the sensor and go from there.

Why didn't you show us the fan relay

Is there a way to test the water pump is working

Absolutely. The impeller can go bad, a seal can go out, etc. Also, the radiator cap itself can go bad and not hold pressure.

@@skrabill thanks I am just learning about this area of the bike. I guess my question should have been how do you know if the water is circulating? would a low level in the overflow tank cause running hot? the radiator seems to be full. Do you know what temperature range the engine should run at? I saw in another video the diagnostic mode has a temperature display. thanks my bike did not get used last season so I guess that can cause all sorts of issues. My clutch was gummed up and would stall when I clicked down to 1st gear.

This last name seems familiar, an inmate?
