I love his take on guys that have missed time. It’s impossible to predict who’s gonna get injured or not, and that’s why we have one of the best physical therapists in the world working for us so we can react appropriately when those injuries do happen.

So glad he made a point to show respect to Josh Reynolds and how important he would be to this team going forward. Hope it works out and we can draft more linemen! Blocking & Tackling! It all starts with the linemen & I hope they would go with Defensive End first! More Edge Rushers! -> like a home-town guy = Darius Robinson and then Offensive line too, (Zack Fraiser would be good! & Zack Zinner too) GO LIONS!
Trade up, get MHJ, or Keon Coleman first. Get that big 6'4 body with speed and reach. We don;t have anyone like that. Draft OL/DE in the later rounds.

I'm so happy he said something about the injuries to players and how he doesn't care unless it's obvious he's missed a lot of time every year. He pointed out what iv been telling people that healthy players get hurt too look at cj last year.
This is what it feels like to have a great GM? Stability? I don't know how to react to competence at every level of the organization 😅 it's the first time I've witnessed it in my lifetime.

I was raised a Lions fan and I chose to be a fan when we drafted Joey Harrington. I realize you can't share secrets, I have run two businesses myself. I just stayed a night in the Pontch, the week before the '24 draft took place in Detroit. You have a big job on your shoulders sir. God speed.

I love his drafting ability. I wish we weren't so damn cheap with the players, though. We miss out on guys like Sneed. Below market offer to Reynolds. Generally it's fine. I get it. Be shrewd. But sometimes, we've got to pay guys that are worth it if we want to contend with the big boys every year. Take some swings, man.

However, it doesn't mean I agree with Brad Holmes, I would rather get a guy through free agency or the draft that has proven to be durable.
As long as the Lions keep on their winning ways, I'm a happy man. I'm just not going to act like Brad Holmes has never made a bad draft pick or has never signed a bad free agent.

His whole logic about players that have been injured has one major problem. If a player has had a more injuries, they are more likely to reinjure or have more injuries moving forward. No guarantees or anything, but the flat probability of more injuries or reinjuring go up. That should be more of a factor. We DO seem to sign guys that have a history of significant injuries for deals. Why is he always so defensive?
Because it’s constantly brought up as if he hasn’t rationalized that very obvious fact. As he quite literally pointed out YES if he’s seeing guys who’ve consistently missed a bulk of time he’s going to take that into account with the roster construction. But he isn’t grabbing a player thinking he’s not going to play the bulk of the season or in the playoffs. This isn’t difficult to understand.
@@Jonathan-cz4ky Reader, Mosely, Onziwurke, others. These aren't guys that have just missed a couple games. I'm saying his explanation doesn't account for the added risk of these types of players. This isn't hard to understand.
It does as I already explained in laymen's terms actually. First of all, not all of the people you mentioned were known to consistently miss bulks of a season. Levi missed 1 season in college, and got unlucky with his back injury. Still played this past year. Reader has only 1 season where he's played less than 10 games, otherwise he's normally playing 14 plus games a year. Mosely has been put on IR 4 times now, which is why they're still looking at cornerback even though he's signed.
The overwhelming majority of our players do not have that sort of history, and there's a balancing act with that. I mean this should be common sense. What do you think team depth is for exactly? And are you supposed to just grab a body just because they have a better injury history, that make sense to you? @@mikeromano8140
