That witch trapping to turn a zombie villager into a regular villager one was clever.

@@Aki-X to turn zombie villagers back into villagers, you need splash potion of weakness. witches have a chances to throw that potion to you. just make sure the zombie villager is nearby to get the effect.
Actually you can do it without a bonus chest. In mudflap’s video, he downgraded his world to 1.14 for patrol emerald drops, and then went back to the version he was playing on before to trade the emeralds with a wandering trader for an oak sapling, providing both wood and apples.
also if the superflat is created in a way to be in a spruce biome you could kill enough foxes to get 5 emerals for a oak tree

I got lucky, I got a really good head start, in fact. I'm living in my jungle wood house currently, a wandering trader also spawned and I finally have oak and dark wood! I got the emeralds from curing a zombie villager with the witch technique, but that's it.

Pro tip if you only have one water source, place your water in a 2 deep hole (on the top block so it flows down) bonemeal the bottom of the hole and voila, 2 water source blocks. Works with kelp as well.

Bedrock superflat is little bit easier cos you get saplings from the bonus chest
Bonus chests actually have a chance to have saplings in them which is a game changer when it comes to no structures however sadly this feature is only in bedrock edition Minecraft

How to do it without a bonus chest:
Patrols spawn after 100 days of gameplay and once you see one, kill the pillagers ( you can lure them into a killing chamber because we have nothing) get five emeralds then wait for a wandering trader to spawn, trade with it for oak sapling so you can get planks and apples!
you can only get emeralds from patrols if you change the version to 1.14
You can only get ems from patrols in 1.14

Now again found it from short.
Because of you I started my own superflat world (with villages already) and I was more invested in it than my normal world... sadly something happened and now I can't open the world so I'll have to either restart or just play on my normal world... another thing is I heard that in a snapshot, the trades are now based on biome or something like that so doing a super flat world where you rely mostly on trades will be a lot harder.
I can't imagine spending 300 days making something for a 30 second video that most ppl will just go "hmm that's cool" and then keep scrolling

i was about to comment that you can literally get any kind of sapling from bonus chests, but decided to fact check myself. its only in bedrock edition lol. (before i had a pc, i always played on bedrock. i never used bonus chests by the time i got a pc, so i just assumed the loot was the same)

I remember when the nether was flat in, well, Superflat. Apparently it isn’t now, but I remember when Superflat spawned all structures. That meant you’d get mineshafts and strongholds. That’d be awesome
Superflat still spawns all struktrures, they just deactivated all of them for this challange

you should do it again, but give yourself a lava bucket.
with the lava bucket, you can farm lava with dripstone, and go to the nether, and get hundreds of new blocks
How would you get dripstone?
