I used to wake up early just to listen to this song on MTV. After that, I would go to work delivering newspapers for $15 a week, and then attend my public school in the afternoon. My father had passed away, so we didn't have much money. Now, after 14 years since this music came out, I have a stable job. I want to thank Greenday for giving me strength with this song during those difficult years. I'm from Peru, South America.

Well on that song he speaks about somebody making like a analysis of himself about his symptoms (depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, pain, etc) and he realizes that him is his worst enemy at the end of the track. Great to see that the same phrase can have so different meaning in 2 songs of this album.

Then, two years after that I heard this masterpiece on the radio and got to know it's Green Day! Then, I started looking for their albums. But as someone who is probably older than most of the green day fans that are watching this video, I think it’s right for me to say that many of us older green day fans consider dookie and nimrod as great albums . I was in my 20s when these albums were released , and still considered them classics. Green day have been writing great music now for over 30 years . And you 20 year olds listening to their recent stuff , please get a copy of dookie and listen to where this great band came from.
