If i had known that Frost Giant was saving the reveal until PC Gaming show i wouldn't have released my 15 page overview document, unit analysis spreadsheet, youtube lore videos, gameplay breakdown virtual reality, creator podcast, tiktok interpretive dances, and morse code reaction series on the Anime Cat Girls race.
Uncapped Games will debut on June 7th. David Kim has mentioned they will be jumping into beta very quickly after that.
Some testers have commented on the games current level of polish, and by the sounds of it this game is likely further ahead in development than FG.
They’ve been working on their title as long as FG has, but they are also only developing competitive modes. Since it’s their exclusive focus, I’m sure we’ll be seeing a much more fleshed out PvP mode from Uncapped Games than we do FG.

No hate but after the beta version came out, I kept checking updates on stormgate, hoping it gets good amount of polish. But in the current state, I'm not impressed by graphic at all. Im ok with the style, but compare to sc2 wings of liberty, a game came out more than 10 years ago, stormgate's map has almost no details, it looks plain. I mean sure, it has jungle camps which is fun, but warcraft 3 has way cooler jungle camp designs. it feels epic to kill camps in warcraft 3. So stormgate to me it's like a rushed version of StarCraft 2, units are not as excited as warcraft 3 units. I still have this game on wishlist, hoping they have great Co op maps. But srsly, I expected something a lot better. Again no hate, just expressing my thoughts.
The game is still in beta and will be for at least another year. Art will be the last thing to get polish.
There is actually a lot of cool stuff. Im a closed beta tester as well, but really all im allowed to say ATM is... Yes, let's wait for the official 3rd faction reveal.
Maps are the basic tilesets right now, there is an entire blog post about their plans for map art. Basically what you're seeing is the most basic of basic maps, beta is purely to test the game units, engine, etc not the art
I understand your worries but bare in mind that art is usually the last thing to get polished up, right now they're focus is elsewhere. But if the current state of the graphics are a no-go for you, I'd just say keep an eye on it going into early access and see how it evolves 👍
