It is very tough making friends as you get older, especially if you don't have kids. And, as you said, since we are all more isolated and cautious of one another. You are very good at this and would be perfect on a talk show! Love your chats and your makeup recs!

I really enjoyed your chat and spring GRWM, such a gorgeous look. I too agree that making friends as we age is much more difficult especially if you’re already introverted and given how cautious we are as a people now certainly doesn’t help. I had a few video ideas that I would like to see you do since you are as am I a BM lover. If BM were to go out of business what would be your high end brand of choice as well as drugstore brand for a full face. I am recent subscriber and your videos are such a joy, thank you 😊

I was out for lunch ages ago with my mum at Valentina in Weybridge and I saw you in there. I wanted to say hello, but also felt too shy and didn’t want to be intrusive and a bit of a weirdo and say ‘hello I watch your CZcams channel’, especially as you were with someone too. I’m also in my 40s and I think it’s so true how awkward it can be making friends socially as you get older xx

Yes and at my age of 63 I do t even go to the beach anymore. I’ve had 5 kids and it shows!! But again at my age, I’m single and don’t care to please anyone or be with the younger crowd doing things younger ppl do . I’m good home watching CZcams or reg Telly and crocheting !!😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤

I can relate to so much of this topic as well as alot of other women , It is had to make frriends you get older unless you go volunteer or something, as the world is now we got to kinda be careful sad but true . Going to a coffee shop to chat about life with a friend is priceless

I’m so glad its not just me who struggles with the friend thing…. I have one very dear friend, but we both work full time and i have a family and she doesnt, we meet up as much as we can, but i sometimes envy people who have a group of friends and often feel a bit left out of the mum friends group at school. Loved the chat and make up in this video. Thanks for being honest! X
I have the same situation, it's hard to find a time that suits both of us. I'm sorry you feel left out of the mum friends group that's so unfair because you sound lovely! x
I can resonate with everything you’ve said. I think it’s harder as you get older and I do think it’s hard in the south (you sound like you’re a fellow southerner) I am always arranging everything with my friends. If I didn’t we’d never see each other. In a group of friends there’s normally one person who does all the organising 😂 you seem lovely, a lot of the time it’s not us, it’s just the circumstances we find ourselves in.

Hi Shaz , I’ve had a bit of a break from YT and unsubscribed to some content creators which have gone way too much onto super luxury items, instead of beauty . However I LOVE coming back and finding a nice chatty video from you.
As always I agree with everything you say. Making friends when you are older and childless it’s definitely harder. I have lots of work acquaintances as my work it’s very social but as I live an hour away I struggle to get involved with any get together with my colleagues and then get upset as I miss out on the gossips and generally feel like an outsider ( think Rachel from friends when she pretend to smoke so she can be part of the office chats 🤣) 😘 ps, would totally listen to your podcast ❤️

You have brought up a vital and extremely relevant issue regarding loneliness Shaz, and more needs to be said about it. Im 56 in a few weeks and I also dont have any real friends Shaz. Yes, I have work colleagues and a couple of freinds that i occasionally see for a coffee....but no real confidante or anyone to go away for a girls weekend or have shopping trips with. Its ironic really because I had a group of very close girlfriends back in England and i often wonder as I'm getting older what my life would have been like if I'd stayed in England .....
I too sometimes feel that no one looks after me....just for a little while. Just to give me a little break occasionally. But hey, things could be a lot worse.

Hiya!!! Loved this video. It is hard making friends at our age, I agree, our social world just isn’t as it was when we were growing up and it’s really hard to navigate but just put your whole self out there- maybe join a group type thingy like a book club or walking club? It’s sounds a bit old and forced and it takes some guts to go but I think you’d be surprised and it’s the loveliest way of meeting all sorts of new people.
OMG I would absolutely love it if you did a make-up tutorial event somewhere! I’d 100% be there!!! I think I live miles away but I would absolutely be there! Or an online one even 😊.
I’m currently going through a chemical menopause at 36 because of a health condition I have so I’m all about menopause health at the moment! I’m literally consuming everything with Collagen in it 😂Would love a video on this topic. Xxx

I have lived in Spain for several years, at the beginning I would never have worn a bikini, full bather and cover up, you watch Spanish ladies of all ages, shapes and sizes, no one gives a toss about wobbly bits etc. I now wear a bikini always, I am perfectly happy with it

Are you saying that it is hard to get to know people? Or is it hard to have a relationship?
If you know what other people like, you can find common ground to build a friendship.
I never worked at home. It does sound like it could be lonely. But, you are communicating with people. Is there an opportunity to meet any of them?
What about Church, working out, organizations, etc.
I think it's hard to get to know people unless you are part of a group like a gym class or somewhere you go regularly and locally. A lot of my subscribers are in completely different countries, some are in the UK but a fair few hours away.
Another great vid! I can relate to your swimsuit 🩱 slump. I only wear swim shorts and a tankini top I don’t feel comfortable in a one piece let alone a bikini. I’m more of an introvert so I am not really a chatty type of person. I am blessed to have three sisters and lots of cousins so that’s really fun when we get together and go out- although tbh it’s hard to get together quite often. I would totally listen to your podcast!! ❤ love how your look came out. Hope you are doing well!!

Hey girl, I SO loved this chat and GRWM. I am laughing at the swim suit part.. Lord just wait until you are post baby... now I will say I don't look as bad as I thought, but you are right... the weight comes and doesn't leave.. I have a big bum and chest unfortunately or fortunately whichever you think, and finding swimsuits are hell. lol. I've looked at the Hunza G too. I cringe at the price tag though. I almost bought a Good American one that looked identical, but it was cut up SO high I was afraid I'd be even more self conscious wearing it. haha! Making friends in your 40s... I'm 39, but it's a nightmare. I feel you! Yes! I love my hairdresser too. ha! It shouldn't be difficult either but there are so many catty women out there. I'm nice to everybody and I am very welcoming, but a lot of women aren't. Being a new preschool mom... that's an eye opener too. There are some women that don't even speak to you at the parties...it's crazy.. for instance this one lady I tried talking to once just brushed me off and she's hosting my little's Easter Egg hunt next week-at her house. I find it hilarious. I'm curious to see how that goes. lol

Oh darling!! I used to have quite a few friends that I know for over 20 years. It once they showed their true colors towards me , I cancelled them out my life. I still have two of them they both live in same town . But we don’t always hang out or even talk on the phone . I like being alone. lol but I’m not really alone,

Hey Chaz. Have you tried a dating app but for friends. Don’t know what they call them in the UK. Maybe someone can help me out. Always look for clubs that you are interested in and you’ll find friends. I consider you my friend, even though you don’t hear my voice 😅. Friends are hard to find at my age of 32 but I have always had a hard time keeping friends since I was young. So I’m still looking for my tribe. ✌🏻

Always choose something with high legs..lengthens your legs and becoz you showing a bit of hip it takes attention away from the tum or bum 😉👍 ps go to a nudist beach, believe me, no one is looking 😜
