No it doesn’t work if your tv hasn’t already been connected to the wifi before so u cant just “change the name to the old one on the tv” cuz it was never connected to it before i got a new wifi router and dont have a remote so again this method doesnt work.
Worked like a charm! We hadn't connected the Roku to our phone previously, but we followed the method and got it connected to the app and then to the hotel's wifi in short order
I’m still not understanding by doing this off of another phone how will that still connect to the tv if the tv won’t allow me to connect to the wifi at all
My remote broke and I used my phone to reset my wifi settings so that there is no saved wifi data. Do you have a way I can connect my roku back to the wifi??
