Computer Love is so frickin timeless. The melody is just so perfect. No wonder everyone from Italian electro bands to Coldplay to the early hip-hoppers have used it in one way or another.
I was just a young kid born to BBoy..I was born in 1983..barely remembering the 80s it was a blur but I liked the fashion and the style was different not like today..fast forward to 1998 BBoy was coming back.. I was in highschool wearing pumas and Adidas and I was Breakdancing everyday.. Now it's faded but wish the new era kids bring what once was incredible culture of style and flavor.. Meanest old skoo mashup.. Just incredible!

You really got the right idea, but Computer Love is WAAAY too loud! It's drowning out both the electro AND those incredible, hard-driving beats (aka, the BEST parts!!!)

Absolutely! They deserve a lot more attention, especially for the timeless track that is popcorn. Of course kraftwerk is the godfathers of a new era, and i love them for it, but electric heads need to realise that it couldnt be possible with ol' hot butter :)
@Plexpara Actually, its very different. They basically copied the drum beat and added the vocal sample from numbers. What I did was to loop the actual drums from numbers, re-equalizing the track to become more bass heavy and have more snap in the snare. With trans europe express (not trans european express) Bambaataa made a bridge of sorts, while I rearranged computer love into a melody that melds perfectly with the planet rock vocals, and I added looking for the perfect beat as a bridge. Hater.
Im mostly a Rock music fan but listened to alot of old school rap but I don't know why Kraftwerk's music has been so popular in hip hop though and I've never listened to their music by itself at all.Can anyone explain?
