Swayman gets outshot 4 to 1 on average. He definitely doesn’t deserve the blame. I also feel bad for Carolina. They outshot the Rangers on average 4 to 1 as well but Igor Shesterkin just bails them out time and time again. Then in overtime a lucky bounce here and there and all of a sudden you get to move on.

Carter Verheaghe man, i don't know why he's never quoted immediately amongst the very top players of the NHL but the number of clutch goals & assists he puts out during the season and at key playoffs moments like that is truly something to behold.
That sneaky poke-check pass just after a shot to where Barkov is gonna be, poking amongst 3 Bruins with 2 of them with their sticks already on the puck or so so close to max out the pressure that is every bit as impressive and skilful to me than whatever speedy deke a McDavid can pull off. Some would brush this off saying "oh he's just lucky there" but that's the thing with Carter, have a serious look at his game guys it's never ever just pure luck, it's a constant creation of chances and a mastery of those seemingly insignificant details that are in fact so so hard to control at that level & speed and so often make it work. That's what separates him from so many average players, from almost all of them actually. Carter "clutch" Verheaghe.

As a Bruins fan, it was rough. The 1st goal I think Swayman wasn't ready for. It looked like one that he would put his body in front of or shift a bit more toward the left, but he barely reacted. That 2nd goal though; just the most unfortunate combination of screened by own defensemen, puck on end, no looked between defenses legs. No way in hell is that one on Swayman, not this game and not the series. He was the main reason we got this far, no doubt. I get we like to take our time with shooting to let stuff develop, but there are some times (like our PP at the end of game 4 vs Panths) where we just needed to rip some at net. Swayman starts 12 of 13 games, we only have more SOG in 2 games total. A really heartbreaking end, but still hopeful going into the offseason.

1:14 anyone blaming swayman is RIDICULOUS he did everything he could have on that play and he is one of the main reasons the bruins made it this far in the first place. Looking at that play he can’t see that puck so his entire decision has to be based on what he can see, which is that forsling is pointed away from then net taking a contested sharp angle shot, 9 times out of ten that’s going to be a 5-hole shot that doesn’t get off the ice due to how forsling has to shoot it behind his body like that, only the puck happened to be on end so it got the lift it needed to go high. Zero chance for swayman to have guessed that the puck was on end, the only way he makes that save is luck, nothing to do with his skill as a goalie. Swayman was unreal this season, he just didn’t have the team to back it up, the bruins are shit besides him and Pasternak

I like ullmark I would keep him because it would be tough to ruin the tandem but if we need to trade him for a solid 2nd line star we should. theres no super stars right now outside swayman and pasta and mcavoy marchand kind of lost the juice hes a solid 2nd liner now we need a 6-8mil player that can put up 30+ goals on the season and hopefully put up points in playoffs. A team like Boston can’t win a playoff series against a team like Florida unless everyone is contributing.Too many guys who we relied on during the season for secondary scoring just disappeared. If the Bruins are going to get better they need a few more legitimate Top 6 forwards starting with a Center who can actually win a face off. Getting bigger & more physical would help too. Boston was playing like it was the regular season & the Panthers seemed to be just pushing them around.
