@@StazIV update: I love it man, kept my factory camera and steering wheel controls. The wireless Apple CarPlay is flawless. It opened up my sound in my amp and subwoofer, now I just have to upgrade the door speakers and tweeters to get that full experience
I want to give this radio a try but i don’t think it’ll sound as good as the DMh-1500nex. That thing puts out some incredible sound for the price and I’ve yet to find a newer one in the same price range to outperform it
Just ordered this thing. I briefly saw in the menus: Driver Position. The ability to swap the volume to the right side is so crucial for a RHD vehicle like I have. Even the OG JDM Kenwood double-din I have has the knob way over on the left. Totally don't understand that.
Other than the low resolution screen and button placement would you say this is a practical and good all around stereo? I'm researching car stereos and don't need a cd player just wired/wireless apple carplay.
What would be the next step up from this? I'll be using Android Auto/Carplay 99% of the time and I know you said it works quicker in there, but the slow reaction in the Pioneer part is a bit concerning. Still can't beat the features for this price point. NVM I see there is a DMH-W3050NEX, but what is the difference between these two units?

Yes, I uploaded a photo onto a thumb drive and changed background. Even with drive removed background remains

It’s 480. I have the 2000nex which is the same radio but with wired CarPlay only (and Maestro RR support.)
