It would be nice to see some more competitively priced Boeing 737/747 panels entering the market too! Reviews of all units incoming!
Hi Mark! Thanks for sharing. These modules look great, but being a die-hard Boeing fan, I'd like to see similar products for the B737/777. It seems we're still stuck on the likes of CPFlight quality and pricing since more than 10-15 years ago. How about a video about the current best alternatives for the Boeing family? Maybe that can help spark a reaction from the companies out there. Keep up the good work!
I've got an MCP from OpenCockpit, not cheap, and I'm finding the drivers a bit of a mess.
I think it might be tricky for the peripheral manufacturers to ensure they have just the right number of missing screws for the authentic experience.
We will be offering a more competitively priced 737CDU😉
Winwings soon for boeing
I have the Winwing FCU and it's simply amazing. A complete 1:1 scale representation of the real thing that has zero lag and where everything is in sync with the simulator. 10 out of 10 and at an amazing price point!
Many thanks for the good news! Happy Easter. Have a great day
👍👍👍👍👍 Happy Easter, Mark 😉😊
Thank you for this very interesting review. I am very eager to see a test of the wingflex device which matches with the expectation of the way to enhance my installation.
It's crazy how many FCUs are coming out. Almost as many FCUs as the number of A320s available in MSFS! 🤣🤣🤣
I'm happy to see that miniCockpit does have plans to add to the miniFCU. Definitely want the miniEFIS and miniECAM. Of course thanks to SPAD, these can be mapped out to use with those non-Airbus aircraft as well. 😉
It's great to watch such a great brand explainer video🥰
It would be nice an ND or ECAM screen or something like that too if there's going to be so many hardware addons for A320 a330 airbus
I say this because using a monitor extra to be an nd or to have navigation display or navigation maps takes 5-10 FPS less or so and for VR using two monitors affects performance
Which is plug and play and easiest to use with non-airbus planes?
@SimHanger Flight Simulation how can I capture the screen of my HP Reverb G2 to stream or make a video to my friends ? OBS ? Any specific software ? Please help !!!?
OBS and select single eye view…high quality I think it is called.
Just placed a pre-order with winwing. Hoping they develop left and right EFIS at similiar or better prices.
I'm tempted to preorder as well! HArd to resist at that price.
@@SimHangerFS no risk. They don't charge up front. They will send an email when it's in stock, then u can decide to go forward or not.
Ordered mine also, can not go wrong with this one
@@SimHangerFSfor $100 it’s not that bad.
I also made a pre-order and I'm expecting a good product. Looking at other products I think the left and right EFIS should be around 50% of the FCU unit so, if they do a pre-order again for those, the 3 could be less than 200$. That is amazing.
The WinWing FCU looks great and at a great price, but does anyone know why the EXPED button is blank and appears to be INOP?
Because the module is authentic and the EXPED button is either missing or set INOP at most airlines due to the airlines SOP. But the button is still functional according to WinWing.
@@fletkri4981 Thanks for your informative explanation - I was not aware of this. That said, I would personally prefer that it was lit in green and showed the text EXPED. The great majority fo CZcams videos I have watched show A320's with this button as appearing to be operative. Despite this, the WinWing FCU looks great and I intend to purchase :-)
@@fletkri4981I didn’t know that, thanks for the info
The button still works and you can map it according to WinWing. It seems like a lot of people have mentioned the exped button but truth is, almost nobody uses it IRL. So on the one hand I get the "realism" thing people bring up but for $200 savings, I can get over it.
@@BlueMax717 Agreed, have pretty much figured this out for myself now.
There’s also Java Sim (don’t go there) and Skalarki and a few others making FCUs, so we are truly spoilt for choice at the moment.
Why? Is Java Sim not good?
Products are ok (although mine broke) but they were constantly updating them so never had a defined final product. Customer service is awful. Took me some time to get my money back…
Damn…this is gonna get expensive!
Ain’t that the truth 😂
I have been siming for 30 years. It’s always been pricey. 😂😂
more competition should lower the price?
I pre ordered a Winwing.. Don't expect it to be as well built as the MiniFCU but its a possible real bargain at that price..Hope you get one Mark as its brilliant if you do a video, re mounts and software of this unit.
You'd be surprised byWinwing quality. I have 2 bases and the A3XX stick and the quality is awesome. I would recommend it hands down.
@@guillaume_69 Thank you for the reply.. I was not meaning to say that they were not good, but just thought perhaps unfairly that due to the cost difference between the mini FCU and it, made me question it.. So glad to know its good quality Thank you.
I’d expect it to be better than MiniFCU as WinWing have been doing this kind of thing for a long time. MiniFCU’s QC is variable at best from what I’ve seen.
Was about to order winwing fcu
Free shipping and good value.
Unfortuatlly because im in new zealand has to be global shipping and that makes me rethink again if worth it.
Do you know the shipping cost? (also a Kiwi).
@@russellfredric2509 $230 nz as have to pay vat and shipping.
@@russellfredric2509 product with vat and shipping $230 nzd
Does the fcu work in xp12?
Yes.
The MiniFCU is NOT available with no date regarding when it might be available again.
Yep, just like buses! 😂
Exactly…😊
These items should not be very expensive. Just switches, knobs, displays, etc. The flight simulators do all the work.
Is it compatible with XBOX or it's for PC only?
PC only unfortunately
Hey, when will the product from WinWing be delivered? My mother wants to know that because otherwise I can't buy it
Check their website for details
you can only preorder it now, but you will not have to pay until it is available for buying
@@austriankangaroo thanks
Anyone out here that maybe has already purchased the Wingflex FCU?
Mark, thanks for your outstanding reviews always! Love the look and the functionality of the unit. However, I'm more of a 737/777 user. Wish WinWing had done both Airbus/Boeing at the same time. Maybe there waiting to see how sales will go with the FCU. Have you heard and Rumor of them doing the Boeing.
Nothing yet unfortunately
For me the AP in an Airbus is so automated nowadays that I barely touch any of the knobs besides than the basic ones. Not a product that I am interested in..
Yes and I believe Fs2crew now interacts with the FCU so you dont need to touch it at all
Handy for vectors on vatsim etc without having to bother with mouse.. Useful for checking parameters in flight without moving camera too. Increased immersion as well. A few other reasons too.
Completely disagree if your doing any visual or circling approaches these are a must have imo as you feel in more control of your autopilot when you need to make quick alterations to your aircraft when not following the magenta line. Trying to find the click spots with your mouse and looking out visually is a challenge I think one of these paired with a head tracker is the way to go for them more challenging approaches.
Thanks God I only fly GA😅
I guess Winwing (a Chinese company) and Wingflex both saw the successful kickstarter by miniFCU (another Chinese company created by former Dragonair pilots in HK), as well as the recent news that Fenix got the go-ahead from ProSim over hardware support for the likes of miniFCU, and both decided to go for the market. After all there are too many A320s in flightsim with FBW, Fenix, inibuilds, Toliss, FlightFactor etc., and probably FSLabs soon.
it's probably just an arduino/Pi zero running an LCD display, with some pots and switches, and a plastic housing.
Hello be very careful with WinWing, I bought the Hotas/stick for dcs, Long story short both broke within the first year, and support is poor. My old Logitech lasted longer. Unfortunately this changed my feelings toward WinWing and would advise anyone to research carefully. Otherwise very excited for the future.
I have a winwing Super Libra Airbus A3XX Joystick and base and both the joystick and base work flawlessly. The super Libra reached the end of its life according to winwing, so it’s no longer available for sale. Ive probably had mine for 2+ years by now and use it frequently….like almost daily and it still works as good as it did the day i took it out of its box. I love their hardware…..it’s all plug and play for the most part, feels good in your hand, engineered and constructed with quality materials. And it looks so real. Based on my experience, i highly recommend winwing. It’s also super cool they jumped on the airbus train…..I’m curious to see if it leads to other aircraft type as well (like Boeing). So far they are impressing me with each new product they introduce. Fingers crossed they do a mcdu. I highly recommend them!
