Thanks for watching - Jak na to + styl
Nice. Thanks. I really enjoy simple ways to do things. May the Creator continue to bless and watch over you and yours.
Well paced, good overall time (not too long) and well spoken - recon I'll give it a go.
Those tea lights look great! What a clever idea.
Thanks Mate
The first tutorial that really show how smooth the cut was and how the part drop off.👍
thank you Ben,, what a lovely idea
+Angela Hyde thanks Angela
Yes!!! Thank you trying to make some Jake garden lights.🙌🙌
Does it matter what direction you use the cutter head and or bottle either clockwise or counterclockwise? What I’m wondering is more around the cutter head if there’s a “correct direction” or not?
Perfect !!!! Thank you nice idea for out side ✌👊
No worries mate
Tnks Ben. Exactly what I was looking for.
+lestki No worries Lestki
For some reason, I was thinking you were going to put a boat in the bottle. 🤣
Wow!! That was cool!! Didn’t know u could do that:))
Thanks!
I just used this method on about 15 bottles. I got 6 of them to break on the score line. The others were ruined b/c a crack developed from the score line to other parts of the bottle. I don't think this is a bad way per se, I just wish there was a more repeatable method with better results.
Excellent video, thanks 👍
Thanks for the video Ben's Worx. Would you have an idea where I can buy cutters that cut bottles lengthwise ??
just use a glass cutter like the one I used
Thank you for the info I’m going to use it
No worries mate
Thanks for sharing... This video helped a lot...
No worries mate
Nice work Mate!
Thanks Louis!
Excellent work Ben :)
Thanks Mate!
Awesome 👍....
Excellent Thank you!
No worries mate
Good One 👍
Very good
Good work
Thankyou
Did you try to cut if the glass has a bold texture,
Perfekt 👌
Nice
+Sanjeev Gautam Thanks
Is that a carbide tip or diamond tip cutter?
استمتعت بسماع صوتك وفق الله للخير
Good video ..
Thanks Mate
Ben, I assume you had to drill through the hand glass cutter head. Where and which glass head is that to mount to the board. Thanks for the video.
+Stephen Lilly thats right Stephen just two small holes then screw it to a piece of wood. Thanks for watching Mate!
Here in 2024... Amazing! Thank you
great!
Would it work to immerse the bottle in hot, then cold water baths?
+Herb Hoover Hi Herb, you need super cold water to shock the glass and if it doesn’t work the first time the heat transfer from the hot bottle turns the water tepid and will need to be replaced with cold water again
Looked very simple. Where can I buy that glass cutter? I live in the US!
Harbor freight sells them...hobby lobby sells different styles.
Hope this helps🌈🌈🌈
Did you secure the wood down using a vice or something please? You looked like you need to push against the blade fairly hard. Finally, the blade cutter that you used, did it have screw holes on it? I could only see it screwed into wood and don’t quite understand how you removed it from the metal handle to then attach it to the wood!? Thanks 🙏🏼
Yes i clamped down the wood, the cutting tool i used had a head that you could unscrew and i drilled a hole in it and screwed it to the wood
Ben's Worx thanks for getting back to me 👌🏻
Could one dip the bottle itself in the hot water instead of pouring it on?
nice ben...
Thanks
Is it not easier to dip the bottle into boiling/cold water rather than pouring it over?
+Neil Stridiron Hi Neil the heat transfer from the hot glass will soon turn your cold water into warm water and it will not shock the glass enough to break. That's my experience with dipping
Can you show how to cut top of a carboy (a wine making jug)? I want to cut one to use as a fish tank. Am worried about how to maneuver due to its size.
Fill it with boiling water then dump it out then dip it into cold water.
Thank you!
Could i just fill a bowl with boiling hot water and another with ice cold water and just dunk from one to the other?
❤❤❤❤❤
Great video, only one problem. How do you prevent the sticker from getting wet. if you get it wet the sticker will come off. I tried clear coating it. you can't tape it off cuz then the sticker will come off. Do you or anybody have any ideals?
Mod podge it first
Try two layers of tape.
The first layer would cover the bottom of the label, but lay it with the adhesive side facing out, tightly wrapped, overlapping enough to ensure it'll stay put.
The second layer would be applied adhesive side down, overlapping the first layer all the way around about halfway. Again, wrap it very tight to ensure it'll stay, and that no water will get beneath it.
(Note - I'm not 100% positive this idea will work, but it sounds plausible.)
Thanks 👏
No worries, anytime
do the labels get messed up?
+bigdawgfan72 Hey, no they dry out perfect
Will this work with a regular glass coke bottle ? Good video . ☺🎉🎊🎁
Yes it’s the same process
Ben's Worx Thank you Ben .
The best part is drinking all that Honey Jack. mmmmmmm.
Isn't easier to dip the bottle bowl with hot water than in a bowl with cold water ?
yeah. seems easier
Can’t you just have two containers with one being hot and the other cold water and then just submerge the bottle just up to the score line?
I have a question? Can you use that to make a hot coffee?
Thank u
have you tried using a heat gun?
No
👍👏👏👏🇧🇷
👍🇦🇺
wht can u do 2 prevent getting the label wet?
Be more accurate with ur pour lol
Use cling wrap around the label, and instead of pouring the water, maybe dip it into a pot of hot/cold water.
cut bottle up beauty more i think...
Ug
Sandpaper!! I think you mean other abrasive materials, sandpaper is the old fashioned name given to glasspaper because it looked like sand!!!.....sandpaper would be ...... useless🤭🤭🤭🤝
