- Can someone please reassure me in the comment section if Grant got a close punch on Phil here? Because on the spoiler picture they pictured the angle exactly right to look as if Grant punched Phil, i think this is the last punch we'll see from Phil, because if this happens everytime Phil throws a punch, he may never be able to fight again.

I don’t think Grant hit Phil again after the Sharongate confrontation. Generally the writers have only allowed other ‘Alpha male’ characters to hit / get the better of Phil in a fight once (if that - Sean wasn’t allowed to hit Phil which was a shame), and never again.
Billy is probably the only character that has hit Phil multiple times with no comeback. Steve Owen landed multiple punches on Phil but in losing fights / confrontations.
A lucky punch one time in the club I think ' didn 't hurt him much tho ' a fair head to head Phil would kill him.
Plenty of people have punched Phil over the years, Dennis dropped him, Jack dropped him into a ditch, between 2001-03 some guy punched him in front of people, Gary punched him in 2009, Ben punched him in 2011, Vincent punched him in 2015 (Although there was a comeback there), plenty of people have punched him.
@@accountuser5588 but the point was that none of them were allowed to punch or get the better of Phil again after hitting / dropping him once. That was their limit, as the writers wouldn’t allow them to do it again.
After Dennis, Jack, Vincent beat / floored Phil, the writers ensured that he quickly ‘settled the score’. There was that ridiculous scene in the square where Dennis didn’t try to defend himself as Phil punched him and threaten to hit him with a brick. And about a month after Jack sent Phil into the pit, they had another confrontation with Phil winning. And it was obvious after Vincent punched Phil that Phil would soon get his revenge.
I think Grant is already sure what punch to expect from Phil because hes always went in with a right punch into the stomach & Grant was obviously expecting this type of punch off Phil giving him enough time to block him off & give him a quick punch in the stomach back because if you've noticed Phil has already punched Johnny Allan, Carl White & Mark Fowler like this before & if you look on 0:23 in the video you can see Grant pull his fist back after the punch & you hear Phil make a sound like hes been hit
LOL. So many things wrong with this comment. No offence but you need your eyes testing. Grant clearly didn't block it, Phil landed the blow, & Phil's pain was due to over-exertion when he has cirrhosis of the liver there was no counter-strike there from Grant. Also Grant was not present on most of those punches you listed but even if he was the idea Grant would stop to calculate & predict where Phil was gonna punch him in that half a second in such a headed exchange is ludicrous. Talk about over analyzing a scene from Eastenders. LOL

MrCeiranevo It's not opinion, mate, an opinion is a view of something made without conclusive proof or that isn't fact based but seeing as it's very evident here that Phil connected with his punch & Grant did not hit him back then you're wrong.

@@MrCeiranevo phil hit grant but it didnt faze grant due to phils weakened state with the liver cirossis and hurt phil more probably due to the force or the way he threw his body to hit him?? As soon as grant saw phil in pain after clenching his fist ready he knew he couldnt hit phil back due to him being in such pain Or that was the moment he saw just how ill phil was after being told!! It wouldnt've been fair

yep now we can see that Phil get in there grants prepared to fight but his ill health has made him weak
Idk what to make of this punch its really weird. It looks like phil punches grant on the stomach but it hurts him while doing it. Or phil punches grant and grant sort of blocks it. I think phil lands the punch but it hurt him more than grant that one makes the most sense aswell.
+Jake Moon Yh true phil pushed grant a few times and he barely moved, when grant pushed phil he went quite far back. Phils really badly finished these days though and i think unlike phil grant stays in shape and im sure grants never had a drinking problem or anything like phil. Grants comeback in the summer is going to be only 3 weeks apprently but its better than nothing.
It's weird, to me it looks like they both go to throw a punch but Phil beats Grant to it and Grant ends up kind of half blocking/half punching at the same time.

Just out of curiosity and I guess it's too late now but I wonder if a 'Dennis Watts versus Grant Mitchell' clash was ever talked about?
+John Cashin A few of us on here have discussed a Den Vs. Grant feud before, that would have been great to see but of course Den would have been way out of his depth, Den was intelligent with more brain rather than brawn, while Grant was more aggressive and escalated situations into violence more than most if not all characters. Den would have beaten him in mind games, while Grant would have beaten him in a fist fight.

What's the point of Phil trying to challenge Grant when at this stage he was 13 years past his prime and Grant was the only person who could beat Phil in his prime.
If Grant could beat Phil in his prime, then beating Current Phil isn't going to be much of a challenge for him.
