one punch man manga is far from ending, theres a decent amount of story to explore even after Season 3 ( monster association arc ) i'd give it around another 10 years before the manga reaches its the end of story

Boros is a god level threat by definition ("threat to all of humanity") since his final attack was going to either wipe the surface of the planet or destroy it outright. But by databooks, he was only classified as "above dragon." I think what we can infer from this is that the level of threat has to be something that applies just by virtue of that creature existing, rather than by just their strongest attack.
This is a small spoiler but it's so far away from actually being shown in the anime that it hardly matters - Psykorochi is also a god level threat by definition since she was using continent-level attacks, and a handful of those would threaten the whole of humanity. But there's a clear distinction between someone like that and the character who actually gave Saitama the most trouble, who was killing people just by existing near them and who was outputting attacks on the scale of cosmic events. In other words, there are probably better and more detailed definitions of the threat levels, and we only know the colloquial thumb rules for them so far.

Yeah they really needed to add another threat level between God and Dragon for a few characters (no spoilers) because Dragon level threats range so drastically it's not even funny. The difference in some Dragon level threats alone is greater than some Demon and Dragon level threats
God-level threats can wipe out all of humanity, and Boros could definitely do that with his Collapsing Star Roaring Cannon.
@@azrathael3896 I think the reason why Boros was ranked Dragon+ is because God-Level threats could wipe out the planet with ease, while Boros had to use his last move using everything he had, sacrificing his own lifespan
Databooks say his attack could have destroyed a star. Even if you consider that false somehow, at bare minimum, he can destroy an entire planet. Boros is objectively a God level threat by meeting the requirements of the classification, possibly thousands of times over the bare minimum requirements.
In other words, Boros is a God level threat even at 1/1000th of his actual power and your comment is extremely wrong.

I would say to take it up with one if you have problems with Boros’ threat level but he doesn’t deserve to have to deal with bs about the scaling of his characters. Let’s just appreciate the beautiful world he created instead of fighting over which characters are how strong

Speaking of disaster level “God”, Boros was never confirmed by the author to be God level, only above dragon which is something in between. Tbh, we are yet to see a villain of such scale and atp it’s really unclear how much powerful they must be.

At the end you’re talking about people in the past who were just better than anybody today. As far as sports goes it doesn’t really even make sense to compare generations at some point. Babe Ruth did basically play against plumbers, and no black or Hispanic people. It’s silly to compare his game to the game of today.
Some records you can compare though. There is a reason why the records for team and individual track and field events continued to be broken every few years. Humans greatly improved in regards to strength and conditioning and obviously overall health and nutrition. Babe Ruth crushed glizzies and beers before and probably during some games.
With that said, there is a grit factor that people back in the day had that just can’t quite be recaptured in the vast majority of people today. So to answer your question in a long winded way, just search for the career of Adrian Carton de Wiart.

Boros was not a god level threat monster. ONE confirmed this and said he was a dragon+ or high level dragon threat. So as of now, we haven’t seen a god level monster.
Imo, Boros could’ve destroyed the planet, therefore making him a threat to humanity, triggering the god level rank but ONE may be saving that for a stronger foe. Plus the hero association never saw Boros in action so technically, he doesn’t have a rank lol

That doesn't make sense though, Boros had enough power to destroy the planet. Isn't the literal classification of god threat one that puts humanity in danger? Even if there are more powerful beings than Boros they all fall into god threats, there is no real difference for humans whether someone can destroy the earth, the solar system or the universe, its still game over.

Carter a season 3 has been announced….but there’s not been any more announcements since then that I’ve seen anyways so hopefully its soon. The manga chapters with one punch man come out randomly…most of the others manga have scheduled weekly releases but one punch man is just kinda random. Sometimes we’ll get a chapter every other week and sometimes it’s like months n months b4 we get a new chapter!! They’ve not released one in a while now and I’m really hoping it’s cuz they’re working on season 3!!🤞🤞🤞🤞
(side note: there’s been an update from the HxH author that he’s been working on some new chapters so hopefully we’ll get a big chapter dump here soon!!!!🤞)

@@seezar100 It doesn't really matter. Even if we never get a season 4 or 5 or 6, as long as they take their time animating whatever is coming is good enough. OPM lives and dies on its epic battles. That's why S2 fell off because they couldn't match the animation of S1 even though everything else about it was better.
Its not even that, One Punch Man just didnt have enough source material for the anime to adapt to, even if they release season 3 within the next year or two.
We will probabaly have to wait another 5 years for manga to complete the next big arc that hasnt even been adapted to the manga yet ( The Neo Heroes Arc )
though we will have a sorta filler but not season in between the huge arcs with the current direction the manga is heading, its still a fun watch but doesnt impact the story that much just like S1 ( bunch of side missions )
That's not how it works brother. A show having more time in between seasons doesn't mean more production time. J.C staff wasn't making one punch man season 3 in their free time, they were doing other shows. Also, most shows have similar production times, it's just that some studios have better animation directors, better staff or more staff.

Not all monsters are created through monster cells. Also after it's eaten the user can't grow stronger anymore.
Boros is an unfair strength comparison.
He literally has a mode in which matter around him gets eradicated from existence.
Literally noone but Saitama could touch him without dying from it.
And given the psychic on his crew is more skilled than Tatsumaki at that point in the story, I suspect Boros can deal with Tatsumaki because he rukes through power and fear, so the psychic can't touch him, or they would've tried overthrowing Boros. (Don't argue about the psychics people, he is confirmed to be able to do stuff Tatsumaki can't, at most you can argue she has more raw output, but not more skill.)
Anyways, what I'm saying is is Boros would genuinely NO diff all class S combined.
The likes of Genos would die just from standing near him while meteoric burst is active.
And he probably doesn't need that mode anyways.
Remember, he was able to take some normal Boros Saitama punches without any part of his body being destroyed.
Which means the S class has no attack to injure him, as Saitamas normal punches are just above everything the S class can do.
Here is something that is confirmed: Tatsumaki destroys Geryuganshoop.
It has been stated that even with preparation all of Boros's generals (including Geryuganshoop) stand no chance against Orochi. Tatsumaki obviously destroys Orochi no problem so by simple deduction she also beats Geryuganshoop.

You're really not saying anything here by citing an arc later on where ONE obviously made Tatsumaki shine way more than he did in earlier arcs.

Also, Murata was the one who said the Geryuganshoop statement and Murata has been shown to contradict his statements all the time. It would be unsurprising if they said even back then Tatsumaki was more skilled than Geryuganshoop.
