This is a very nice aspect on learning it. But this way I got stuck a bit, a could not take that hand off the floor whatever I did. For me the game changer was learning the butterfly kick, the jump-off is the same concept as in an au sem mao. So I would suggest everyone to get their chibatas and their butterlfy kicks right, and it will make wonders. *Axé and thank you for your content*

Amazing tutorial , im stuck on that move for long now , and still not happy . Your way looks simple but stucked on doing chibata(looking nice) - cant stop putting the hand on the floor. in the other way my legs are bended and not vertical doesnt looks nice. I think i have to practice practice and practice. Put some info If You will plan to do some workshops in London , will be great

Technically you should educate both sides, but to start with you must start with dominant side.

I do this kick with rope dart and its one of my favorite cartwheels and my first cartwheel foot shot so i wanted to look into the capoeira version/history of it because I'm trying to blend some capoeira style into rope dart and want to pay respect to capoeira by keeping some of the movement terminology accurate. Would love to show you a video of it if you are interested
