- There’s proof that it's never too late to push yourself in the gym. A recent study shows people 55 years and older are the fastest-growing group joining health clubs. Norah O’Donnell met Constance Tillet, a remarkable woman who's re-shaping more than her body.
I'm 73 and I just got my inspiration. Thank you Constance.
Alta Pedroza good luck to you on your journey. You can do it🥳
@@blackwinter963 : Thank you. I'm going to try; lol. What are you doing awake at this hour? Look who's talking.🤗
keep it up, Alta!
Good for you! Can i connect you with my (senior) mom so you can inspire her too?
Do it. Just do IT! You have nothing to lose.
Awesome Gym instructor for taking time to help her get in shape. Simply awesome and give him your business.
facts 💖 facts
Absolutely; people prefer to support businesses and entrepreneurs who are authentic, who care about people and more than just their bottom line.
@calihartley2010 seriously now?🤦😂
Are you kind of a fetichist or somethin?
He's getting paid, not doing it for free.
Outstanding, she is an encouragement. Like she said don't whine about it just do it. Nobody benefits but you!
Amen
Really, everyone benefits.
I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST JESUS WHO STRENGTHENS ME, AMEN! 💪❤
As a trainer and gym owner, great job to the cross fit box, it's owner and especially Constance. You're rarely too sick...and never too old to start a fitness regiment.
Exactly. Never too late.
The scary thing for me is to go somewhere at old age and the trainer is not the knowledgeable and mess me up more then when I started
Agree
@@wanda01141 if you have the internet go to you tube and look for the exercises you want to do. We have to learn to teach ourselves. They have videos for older people. You can do it at home. I lost 70 pounds just by walking and eating healthy.
Awesome comment. Never thought of that.
I immediately stopped watching to call my husband to tell him he better not leave without me. 😢 Her love for her husband whew chile 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I know. That was so sweet! Tears.
Right! He life long partner!!

congratulations 💖 don't stop keep moving
LeRhonda Jones-Bates you go Sis!!!
👏🏽👏🏽Keep going. I’m started when I was 60yrs old Jan 2018. I’m the oldest thing there but I go at my pace and the trainer is like this beautiful lady’s in this video. It’s hard but it’s worth it!
I love this!
Keep it up. It's super tough in the beginning but worth it. Great to hear you already love it. I started at 47 and now I am fitter than some 20 year olds 👍👍
I literally have no excuses in life. ABSOLUTELY NONE after watching this.
Street Columnist yup. She just put EVERY ONE OF US in our place 🤦🏼♀️😂❤️

@calihartley2010 Woah there kid, you may be 8 years old but don't go saying stuff like that.
@calihartley2010 Are you ok? 😐
@calihartley2010 Circumcision is a form of genital mutilation...
@calihartley2010 I'm not a guy
Respect goes out to the trainer for having a heart most dont. Wow grams is a insperation
I disagree. Most people are good people, and fitness trainers are almost always willing to help anyone willing to put in the work
He is literally just doing his job. Many trainers are unsung heros.
@calihartley2010 You've got issues😐
“Get up and do it “ Constance Tillet

Big Pharma let this poor woman down.... Very proud of her for changing her life and taking her health seriously...
It's not the pharmaceutical companies who let this woman down, her living a sedentary life did and the reason for all the pills she was taking to help keep her alive. Genetics can and do play a minimal part with developing some illnesses and disease but ultimately, we are all responsible for our own health --not your doctor or Big Pharma. People need to stop msking excuses, be held accountable to themselves and stop blaming others for their poor judgment and lifestyle choices.
Big Pharma sucks for sure, but let's not pretend that far too many people would rather take pills (that keep them alive) than put the effort in to work out.
@@cbaelz120 Exactly.
Not just the Big Pharma... my brothers ex was in her mid-20’s taking prescription meds/day. She was overweight, never worked out, on top of stress with finishing her Masters. She had no release from all of that. Still no excuse if you have time to take a nap when you get home from work then u have time to do a 20minutes walk at the very least around the neighborhood. I was 4 years older than her and never ever been on meds. Thank God my parents kept me active throughout school and also when I served and still working out. Feels damn good and you look good as a bonus
ilovegoodsax Agree with you except that doctor is the first person who almost force peoples to take pills and special pain killers.
Everyone knows about opioid crisis in this country and around the world and you can’t deny it was created by big pharma+doctors.
Made me cry😘. She is a heroine to ALL
Me too !
Yup...me too. 🙂
No she's literally cocaine
@@nadjagallardo5428 😑 heroine is an *entirely* different thing than heroin, love.😂

The gym owner and trainer is an angel full of patients and love.
I’m 55 and started my way back to fitness 3 months ago. I stopped smoking, I haven’t felt this good in years!! Get up and DO IT!!
Bless this Man for working out with her .I’m going to get me and my grandpa a gym membership so we can workout together.i love my grandpa and wanna see him here longer
Good plan. Good luck & God bless your kind heart kiddo 🙏🙌👍💕
• After raising my kids I chose not to go back into the corporate world and instead work a manual job. I wanted to be active and knew if I sat behind a desk pushing a mouse my health would plummet. I LOVE my physical job and have become strong and vital!
What do you work as? Trying to have some other options for when i have to choose my path in life
I was just thinking the other day that I'm too old to get into shape. Then I watched this. Rolling my eyes at MYSELF 🙄
ValenciaRose lol
So needed to see her today- she’s an inspiration to young and old alike!
I hope someone received this message well🤘🏾
When I go to the gym, the seniors are the regulars. Goals to age by: good health and longevity.
I'm going to restart my workout, she inspires me so much, God bless her, her family and the trainer.
CrossFit has changed my life too and I will say the community is a HUGE part of it. You’re so vulnerable in front of those people all week. The last person to finish the workout usually has the biggest crowd cheering for them. ❤️
That gym owner is the MAN!
It's NEVER too late to start anything. Let alone physical HEALTH.
I hope my aunt sees this. I even create some simple movemen videos for her a couple of years ago. I just saw her for thanksgiving, she has gotten worse.
My conscience is clear and clean. I tried to convince her to do something other than going to the doctors that keep given her pills.
She needs a community of her peers to work out with. Ms. Constance success is a combination of this. Her determination, support from her family, trainer and the other members. We as human are much more successful and happy when we are in a group of like minds regardless of age.
I sympathise with you: some people enjoy going to doctors and complaining about how sick they (imagine they) are 24/7, to whomever will listen. No helping those, no matter what you do.
@@janiverster6162 her daughter who is her caregiver, I told her what she can do to help her a bit. You would not believe what she told me. I wanted to smack her. But I kept my feelings in check.
Lol, she told me, "who has time for that". She's getting paid to help her MOTHER!
It really DOESN'T take a long time to lubricate the joints each MORNING. 30 MINUTES is enough.

She's such an inspiration to me. I'm 42 and getting into the gym in a long time. When she talked about her late husband. 😢😢😢
Wow. I myself feel so stuck with work and if Im not working I just lay down til I have to go to work again. She got me thinking about all this time Im wasting as a young person.
Just get up & do it! Slow & steady. Better than nothing at all. Good luck! 😄🙌👍💕
Whooooo!!!!! Hoooooo!!!! I applaud her at the age of 77. Constance is motivating me to get up and move and I’m not 77. It’s never too late to work out. Thank you Constance for your will power.
am so proud of her, i have been trying to push my friends to workout FOR YEARS & there is zero response and am talking about ladies in their late 20s who are single & have abundance of free time after office hours & sadly half of them are overweight & one even recently became diabetic :( i shared this video with them, it is inspirational 💛
All my excuses just fell off a cliff, and I can't unsee this. Well guess I have to get to work. Thanks for the inspiration!
LOOOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
😁
This touch my ❤️!! Stop the whining and get up and do it! How could anybody give this a thumb down? I feel sorry for y’all. Beautiful story.
I cried when she cried speaking about her soulmate😢
Next time one of my patients starts complaining about moving I’m going to have them watch this video. Excellent advice, “stop wining.”
Who gives this a thumbs down? Not good people that's who. Haha
Hopefully those were people who hit it by mistake
probably the ones who came for the kipping and bad form crossfit is so well known for
Her character and resiliency shine through. Awesome.
Lady's amazing..... truly inspiring!
This story! 😭 What an amazing woman and an inspiration to all! And God bless her trainer she’s “adopted” as her son! So sweet! Glad I watched this today! ❤️

“God sets us in families.” (Psalm 68:6) There are many types of families. God bless this one !!! 🙏
Such a beautiful, strong little soul!
This woman is a GEM, and that trainer is a CLASS ACT!!!
I would have never thought that a Cross Fit Gym would have the patience and focus to train someone correctly.
This definitely gave CrossFit cool points for sure.
Go Ms. Constance...stay strong 🙏💗. Beautiful
the less you do when you get to 50 the faster your body will fall apart.
@B0K0R From 50 onwards ppl lose muscle at a more dramatic rate. Also changes in hormones make bones much weaker.
People start losing muscle Whenever they stop moving, We are all different and organically unique. Let's stop putting numbers on everything... you can still lose muscle at 25 and get diabetes at 17.
@@andmo2020 Very true!! Time to stop the number game. You can be great at any age. It's up to the individual!! 😉

Constance, you are a beautiful, beautiful human being! You’re my inspiration today!
What a beautiful story.
Amazing and he’s so patient with her. I love it! 🥰
Constance please be my gym instructor. She's just amazing and a proof that elderly age sorry mature isn't the beginning of the end. In fact it's the beginning with knowledge you've acquired over the years. 💖
Well there’s no excuse for me who’s in my 30s to be lazy.
Mani Pedi true
Few seconds into the video I was already blown away by the trainer's patience. He's a blessing to this world
Wow , this is an amazing testimony! It’s never too late to start and if you stop, start again!
There’s so many over 50 year old women at my gym ❤️
I'm 66 years old and l work out at the gym between 2 and 3 times a week, although with the holidays now, l've been slacking. 😨 l have fibromyalgia and if l go 2 to 3 weeks without working out, l get very stiff and sore. Anyway, l like going to the gym because at my gym, there are all shapes and sizes, from fat and out of shape to shapely, young and old, and big and small, so l feel like l fit right in. Don't have time to go today but l may go for a short walk after watching this!
omg i didnt think i would be crying but dam here i am :(What an inspiration for all, you go Constance!

Good on her! This is 4+ years old, it would be fun to see an update of how she's doing.
(If I had a trainer to work out with who looked like that I'd be @ the gym consistently as well. 😜)
Aww this woman is amazing. She is definitely breaking barrier's and teaching others that there is no excuse. Very inspirational to all ages. I came to tears when she spoke about her husband 💔

My mom is turning 68 on 24th of December and I managed to inspire her to work out about 4 years ago, she walks daily about 5 miles swims 2 times per week and does breathing exercises. I recently gave birth to a healthy baby girl, me and her went to practice yoga up until I was 7 month. I lost post pregnancy weight by 4th month! I hope to inspire more and more people😁
Extraordinary lady and hats off to her coach too .. being with her on her journey
how? shes just old
@@caesaraugustus9061 nope .... age is just a number
@@ainsleyameerali7622 so are medical problems by your standards
@@caesaraugustus9061 i am not understanding your debate .. this lady is 77 years old .. a mountain of health issues and she is in gym surviving.. your tone is ... " she is old " i know 10000s of people in their 20s more sick than this lady .... again i repeat ... what is your point in all of this ?
@@ainsleyameerali7622 my point is shes not "extraordinary" by any means, going to the gym after a life of bad health decisions isn't "extraordinary", maybe its "inspiring" tho. Good for her for commiting at an old age but that doesnt mean shes special in any way, shes too old for the longevity benefits to really kick in anyways. But thats my opinion, its okay to disagree
Salute to Ms. Constance and the gym owner for awesome tandem! Agreed stop whinning and start working. Nothing but good wishes on the road to fitness. 💙🎉👍

This is impressive on both parts, Constance for training and the owner for trainer her. I used to teach fitness classes and jazz dance. And I'll admit that it does take a different mind set to be very patient with people. I wish my grandmother had did this, she'd be around now. But I've got my mother being active and eating healthier. Health, fitness and mental activity are the real medicines of Earth. Live long people💗
