- Today, I head to my local fish and reef shop to pick up some much needed supplies…and a new coral!

Yeah it’s always fun to go for a trip to a LFS!
I always support LFS compared to big companies here in my city.. and honestly, the owners have the best knowledge about our hobby and they care about their animals and customers.. as my LFS owner always telling me, “if my customer is happy, fish is happy and I’m happy!”

Love the LFS tour. Though I have my go-to LFS here in Melbourne Australia, I frequent 3 different stores regularly as they all have their own unique flavour and specialize in particular hardware brands and even livestock lines. Keep up the great Remy.

That is an awesome deal. I love mushrooms especially ricordea and always in search of different ones but there is only one LFS that sells a lot of singles which are more reasonable in cost.

That's funny cause I was why redsea stuff came to stl. I contacted aviad and he flew out to stl to visit gateway to set us up
I used to go to a lfs off Manchester not sure if they are there anymore but they were pretty good when I used to live in stl

Was just at the Corner reef last weekend. Spent $160 on fish. I seen the weeping willow and knew it had to be from your tank.

Bahama Llama Coral , willow is doing great. Growing fast. Looking forward to seeing it fill in. Finally getting Zoas to grow. For some odd reason, lost some nice sps. Params are good, some sps are good, others bleaching. They did have black stringy stuff on them. Dinos maybe?

They are in the process of overhauling the site. In talking to the guys they want to make sure it's a seamless process when it relaunches. Trust me, they've got a ton of coral in that farm ready to go!

I loved the series on selling coral as a vender, I would appreciate it if you did a video on talking about what you dose. I have a 5 and 20 gallon nano reef. I’ve been looking for a new fish for 20 do you reccommend any cool fish? Love the vid!
I've been on the hunt for a Yellow Assessor Basslet...that might be a good one for your 20 if you can find it. I'll have to do a dosing video!
Anyone else have a zoa do fine for a month and then close randomly for a week?
Oh yeah! Could be a whole host of things but check phosphates first. They seem to be sensitive to high PO4 levels.

bro stop saying that's not a wipping willow they're different types that's one of them
no, its a different type of sarcophyton. Not all sarcophytons are weeping willows.
Guys, I did a video on this specific piece. lol. Go check it out. I tested all the characteristics from Jake Adams' willow and it is in fact NOT a willow. I am well aware. I've just gotten into the habit of calling it that...and for that, I sincerely apologize.
@@BahamaLlamaCoral No you misunderstand, he's telling you to call it a WW and stop saying that its not :) And then makes the mistake of using WW as a genus of corals, which i'm correcting. :P

@@BahamaLlamaCoral no problem, and yeah leathers are great! I have 4 tanks, and one is mixed softies only, with 5 different sarcophytons. It's the tank guests love the most because of the movement. They can't appreciate the amazing acroporas though... ;)
Man you're lucky, my LFS in fresno aquaticpets is trash. "Ive been in the hobby since the 60s" says the owner, ignorant judgemental and racist, he completely destroys a new hobbiest desire to start a reef tank. Sells his common pieces for 200+ acting like they are high end pieces which they are not. Its sad cus not all LFS supports new hobbyist. I stopped going there because he is just too much. You shouldn't own a store if you dont support new hobbyist or is just plain our racist n judgemental. He'll literilly prevent you from coming in his store if you look poor.
Ugh, sorry to hear that. It's amazing how those types of owners are still in business. Does he not realize the more people he gets into the hobby, the more money he makes over time?
