  • The new Formula E Gen3 EVO, slated for the 2025 season will be "30 per cent faster accelerating than a Formula one car".
The words of Formula E CEO Jeff Dodds, who explained in more detail in Monaco, how the Gen3 EVO will be a major advancement on the current Gen 3 car
"You go from today's car (Gen 3), which will get to 100km an hour in about 2.7 seconds, to 1.8 seconds, the fastest ever FIA single seater car under acceleration. I'll give you a comparison. If you compare that to a formula one car today, that will get to that speed in about 2.6 seconds."
The Gen3 Evo is also set to achieve a remarkable top speed of 200mph upon its introduction in season 11.
Beyond its impressive speed, the Gen3 Evo is positioned to redefine efficiency in formula racing. With an electric motor delivering over 90 per cent efficiency, a stark contrast to the 40 per cent efficiency typical of internal combustion engines.
The new car will also appear 'more muscular' on track, and a tyre that is '5 per cent to 10 per cent more grippy'. It will also be made with 35 per cent recycled material versus 26 per cent in the current car.
