- DIY small cabinet in walnut and maple. Only with hand tools. this video was filmed about 2 years ago and was on the old channel, who still remembers it :) Finishing as always tung oil and beeswax. It seemed in the end that the body was a bit thick, but it seemed painful to remove the thickness from the maple with a planer.

Thanks for watching, Regards Yurii🤗🇺🇦 - Jak na to + styl
As a fine furniture maker who absolutely hates taking the time to try and record myself, i want to extend my gratitude for creating this content so everyone can admire the craft... because it's so much less time consuming to just make a piece without the video set-up and editing. Thank you. Beautiful work
Absolutely, I can't even remember to take pictures while I'm furiously planing away. Gratitude for those who make furniture and videos their art form.
Thanks for 30 minutes of free therapy. I needed it today.
That’s was incredible. Outstanding work. Thank you for sharing
I only found this channel a few days ago, but watched most of your work. Wonderful craftmanship.
Thank you so much🤗
I'm just a hobbyst, but that's the kind of work that drives my passion.
A true master piece of work. Beautiful! Congratulations and greetings from Brazil!
I wish i'll have some time during my weekend for touch the wood and make something. But for waiting i've your video. Thank you for sharing your journey with us !

awesome work, enjoy your videos.
I will learn a lot on this channel. Thank you!
Thank you so much🤗
Beautifully executed!
Nice work with full of patience.
Thank you so much🤗
Pure work with wood. This is essential because, every piece of furniture ever made, is based in this mode of work. Power tools are the future, but manual work is the foundation of everything.
I wish you all the best! Salute! 👋
Thank you so much🤗In my country, the culture of carpentry is generally poorly developed, and I want to gradually revive it here and learn the craft myself, since it has been lost since the 1917 revolution ... the USSR took a lot from us ...
Thank you
Thank you so much🤗
❤ just perfect!
Beautiful project and compliment!!👍
Your skill is superb.
Merci beaucoup🤗
Stunning work with lovely touches along the way. And very rarely a machine to be seen. I can see a lot of James Krenov influences in your work, too.
Thanks. Great to watch and great to hear the sound of handtools instead of machines. Nice to see traditional techniques such as solid wood drawer bottoms designed to allow for wood movement.
Brilliant work. The sounds of the tools and wood along with the music are really cool. Therapeutic to watch. Looking for to watching more videos. Thanks for sharing.
wow amazing craftsman. just love your videos thanks man
Thank you so much, Ian🤗
I really enjoy watching you work, your thought process, and the little details that you consider while working. It is also interesting to see how your work has progressed in this video from two years ago, to now, when you just recently made the pencil box from bog oak. You are an inspiration!
Beautiful work!
Thank you so much 😊
What a unique piece ♥️
Thank you so much🤗
Spectacular as always. Love watching you work.

😍😍😍😍👌👌👌👌
Muchas gracias🤗
Wouldn’t be great if we could make and sell small precision cabinets.
The market is very small and narrow.
I have a tip for your Dovetail work. Try paring a small hollow in the pins when they are tight it also helps with crooked sawing.
That is so beautiful! Your work is always amazing! So much fun watching you, just discovered your channel and can’t stop watching your videos!
Ein sehr schönes Video, Dankeschön 👍
vielen Dank!🤗
Very nice work, relaxing to watch. Thank you

So nice !
Thank you so much🤗
Merci encore😁🤗
Hey! Love your work and the professional presentation. Anytime i start watching one of your videos i have to watch it till the end. Its fascinating but it excites me and make me calm at the same time. Even my nearly three year old son enjoys your content. He gets really quiet and concentrated. You have two fans. Greetings also to your camera guy/girl. Great work.
Thank you! Now I'm the one filming everything, this is one of the old videos that we shot with a partner and now we parted because of the war there is no way to meet often. Now we run each of our channels. Thank you and hello son. Greetings from Odessa Ukraine.
@@gr_woodworking okay, that explains why there is no camera movement in other videos. Love it anyway. Hope you can keep some kind of good life in the war, i can't imagine how hard your situation is. Good luck for you and your beloved ones. Greetings from Germany
Just absolutely love these videos, the editing and music and workmanship are excellent
Thank you so much 😊
You’re awesome 👏🏻👏🏻

Hey brother, love your work!! I'm starting the journey myself and have drawn inspiration through your channel. Thank you!
been a carpenter for over 20 years and am finally taking my shot, I encourage everyone who may read this to aim for the stars. It's all about commitment and not giving up! you can do whatever it is that you enjoy most, you are capable!
Super!!!!
Thanks 👍
Precioso✨✨⭐👍
Muchas gracias🤗
Where can I get a tape measure like that??
Fine tools Dieter Schmidt, I've got one. It is cool but it is not worth the money in opinion. The biggest drawback is the absence of the hook. The biggest advantage is that it lays flat on the board and it is light to carry.
at 12:01, the grain pattern choice. very nice timber by the way, lordy!
Thank you so much🤗
nice
Thank you so much🤗
Absolutely beautiful work. Your craftsmanship and skill are meditative to watch. May I ask what kind of measuring tape you use? I've never seen one like that before...
Thanks😉

magnifique
Merci beaucoup🤗
Wonderful craftsmanship. Do you ever use a fret saw for waste removal? Thanks for the great content.
Your videos are great! Always love watching them. Out of curiosity could I ask what kind of hand plane it is you're using?
Superb work!! Your videos makes my train commute so enjoyable. What hinge did you use? It looks amazing!!
Thank you so much🤗This is an old piano hinge.
Hi Yurii, I always enjoy your work. I’m new to woodworking and reaching out to learn as much as I can. I recently retired and want to spend time doing something I enjoy doing. How did you get started in woodworking?
Love the videos. Great craftsman, great music, great video work too. A joy to watch. Quick question: what finish are you applying at the end?
Thank you so much 😊 Finish - tung oil+beeswax
I am interested in the lathe you are using. I don’t have the money or space for a large lathe, but I would like to turn my own handles like you.
Could you maybe someday show us what lathe you use.
Yes love this video... excellent piece! Also somewhat surprised about the thickness but it actually really works... Did I miss it... what did you do for the back?
Indeed, the thickness is too big, but I didn’t really want to shoot with a hand planer! And the back wall is just made of plywood - that's why I didn't show it. Thanks🤗
Sensacional Yurii. Estou te acompanhando do Brasil.
Obrigada! Atenciosamente, Yurii🤗
😍
Thanks 👍
🔥
Thanks😁
How do you plane the top of the door and avoid getting tear-out on the end grains at the corners? Is it just because you have your plane taking such a thin shaving? Love your work!
Next level craftsmanship, keep up the good work👍👍
Was wondering what measuring tape you’re using?
www.bmi.de/en/products-pocket-tapes-429-bmimeter.php
Thank you so much🤗
beautiful work. I have a question, to what angle do you sharpen your chisels?
what is the real time of the making process? very nice video
❤❤ super work and video editing. Please continue to share your work. Which wood you used for this project? The dark one??thank you
Thank you so much🤗 Walnut.
What type of lathe do you use for your drawer pulls? They look great!
Oh thanks! This is not a lathe - this is a small grinding machine from Proxxonn and I sometimes use it like that😉
Hey George, I found your channel a few weeks ago and I really love it! This was a great video! In the description of this video, you said this was on your old CZcams channel. Can I ask why you got rid of an old CZcams channel and started this one?
Hi Gary! There were a lot of videos and 10K subscribers on the old channel, and we ran it for 3 years and came out with an income of $ 20 per month for two with a partner! The channel developed poorly due to the fact that there were many different topics on it - working with wood, stone, clay and leather, and CZcams did not know who to recommend it to ... Therefore, in the summer I decided to start a new channel in only one topic - now the development is better. Such is the story
@@gr_woodworking I think this is happening to my channel also. About a month after I started my channel 2 years ago I posted one non-woodworking video and it ended up getting a ton of views in a very short period. I think that caused the algorithm to set my channel up a certain way that can’t be undone. I’ve been thinking for a few months that I need to start from scratch with a new channel because you’re not the only one who has told me the same thing.
