Palawan's Underground River

4th of July 2024 -- The Underground River of Puerto Princesa is one of the most famous tourist attractions of the Philippines. It's on on the west coast of Palawan in a region of limestone mountains and Karst topography that have created white beaches, steep cliffs and deep caves.
This unusual limestone cavern was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999, and voted as a New7Wonders of Nature in 2012. The river is 8.2 km long and flows directly into the Philippine Sea.
