Vietnamese food is one of the best cuisines in the world. One of the best thing that has ever happened to me was my wife introducing me to her culture. I've had pho and banh mi before, but there's so much more to Vietnamese food than that. We probably cook Viet food the most at my household.

Vietnamese food has 5 flavours: spicy, sweet, salty, sour and bitter. It’s different from other Asian food like Chinese food and Thai food because we use more herbs and raw vegetables on our dishes

Ceterum censeo Carthaginem esse delendam it depends on the dish, some of them need to be dipped of mixed in sauces or spices while serving
some dishes need to be marinated before cooking or seasoned while cooking like caramelized pork belly or fish (thịt/ cá kho), these kind of dishes usually served with rice because it might be too salty when you eat them alone ( delicious, but foreigners usually don't like the smell of fish sauce so it's not so well-known
      in Western countries).
btw, the fried chicken wing in the videos is waaaaaayyyyy better when coated with some caramelized fish sauce

again, it's not really vietnam food being served here. More like vietnam food in america, western style. For examp: we dont eat chicken like that, and we also dont use siracha sauce. Instead we use "Chinsu" sauce, others restaurant also mixing chinsu with tomato and others stuff to make it more spicy and more delicious.
