- Hello and welcome to another OMSI 2 video!
We're going to be revisiting the Masterswitch Veiling 3 today on the Yorkshire Counties map, as recently there's been a lot of focus on the Studio Polygon Renown. We'll be using this absolutely fantastic East Yorkshire repaint which is available from the link below.
We're driving the 83a from Westfield Police HQ into Waivesworth. It has to be said this bus has been spoiled a little bit for me, perhaps it's because of the Studio Polygon Renown, or perhaps it's because since our last Veiling video I've bought myself an Eclipse... who knows!

Hi Joe, remember your Eclipse is the old 275hp D7 engine, this one is for the 290hp D7E engine which has Turbo overboost.

The Renown has all those unnecessary extras that open or move and which make the bus almost undrivable on my mid range spec computer. Lots of glitches and white vehicles/people/buildings. Just unacceptable. Thanks Joe for the hard sell on the Renown, I feel you might have mentioned the Renown needed a super computer to function properly. I wasted my money. The Veiling is brilliant though. Well worth the money.
The Veiling is a great pack! However from my experiences I've not had any bother from the Renown hence why I cannot recommend it enough. If it's undriveable I'd suggest contacting SP via social media if your PC meets the minimum requirements listed at the bottom of the Renown page and it still doesn't work :( Fingers crossed you get it sorted!
@@JoeDobsongaming Thanks Joe, but from what I've seen, even your high-end rig has the occasional struggle with redraws. I should have figured that out for myself. My PC just about meets minimum standards. I'll stick with the Veiling and park up the Renown. Thanks for the helpful reply though :)
What specs do you classify as mid range.

i really like the renown i drive the huddersfield spec i love it
i do love both buses they both are made very nicely though i think the masterbus is defo a little more performance friendly it seems on my lower/mid end pc
I agree, I think perhaps I was a little harsh on the Eclipse 2 in this video
The brake pressure holding for 2 seconds is actually part of Hill Start ASSIST (name varies of this system) which gives the driver plenty of time to apply power to avoid rolling back on hills.
A very valuable little tool indeed, I just wish the handbrake could have a button you press to trigger it? So it doesn't do it when you're trying to pull out at a roundabout, or just at a normal set of lights haha
@@JoeDobsongaming yeah it can be a annoying, it's why on flat surfaces when the vehicle doesn't roll back u can leave the handbrake off to bypass that feature cuz it's annoying with it starting off at on a flat or downhill even in a car

Great video Joe, I was wondering how you got the camera view so perfect to operate the manual roller blinds for the renown, I can’t operate them as I can’t manage to get the right angle in the camera?
Press the right arrow on the keyboard until you level with the roller blinds

I wish someone would make an omsi 2 Leicester maps, I live here and I love some of the routes and we have so many operated by arriva, it would make a great map(with routes 48/a, 47/a, 44/a, 5/a, 6/a, 127, 126, 85,84,86,58/a and so many more they would be class rides

Someone please tell me how to get ibis codes because i cant drive any routes without them And cant find them anywhere
From my experience of driving multiple Eclipse 2s (and a couple of Training versions of Eclipse 1s) for a certain West Mids based operator.... I would disagree and say that the performance is more or less spot on. The Eclipse 2s are more powerful than the Eclipse 1s. Honestly, you can get up to 30mph very quickly and not notice it.
Regarding build quality, it very much varies from vehicle to vehicle. I've driven some lovely eclipse 2s that barely rattle, and driven some eclipse 2s that drive you insane with the rattling.
It is all relative. Texture wise, well, it comes down to us repainters to either provide a clean or "knackered" look. Myles did a good knackered variant of a NXC Eclipse I think
I agree, I drove a number of 09 plate Eclipse 2s and this feels about right to me. I also drove Eclipse 1s and they were woeful in comparison to the newer ones!
Well perhaps I need to go and find myself an eclipse 2 seeing as I’m outvoted 😆 I know the Euro 4 07/09 plates are a lot quicker than their D7C equivalents so I’ll hold my hands up there I’ve clearly got it wrong haha 😄

Whilst these buses were great gor east yorkshire after Go Head North they went to Newcastle

Hiya, the series will return… but unfortunately the “Plazas and Promenades” DLC has temporarily broken our save 😭
When they patch it and the save works properly, we’ll be back on Skylines 😄
